How was the Cotton District Arts Festival this year?

That used to be one of my favorite events of the year, of course at that time I was basically living in the middle of it. Any good bands, stories, food, or news?

Was it during Easter weekend? That may have killed the event since all the students probably went home.

I don't remember seeing any posts about it.

Mom is a huge State fan and sister is an artist so we drove over Saturday before Easter and I thoroughly enjoyed it. We mainly walked the whole street looking at the art but the music (Nash Street and Paul Thorne played while I was there) was good and the short ribs the Veranda was selling were incredible. I've never been so I'm not sure how you would classify the crowd but it was by no means a small crowd. I caught what appeared to be the tail end and I would say in the thousands but I'm awful at estimating crowd numbers. I'd give a George Willis, Jr. estimate at around 3k.

and although it was Easter weekend it was still very crowded and busy. I really enjoyed it and I am wondering why I have never attended it in my previous three years. I did listen to Nash Street and the music was great, ran into Stricklin in the crowd, and overall enjoyed the weather that we had.
