How will Ole Miss spin this as a positive?

This really has to sting for their student body since they've been beaten by their two home state schools that rejected them.

I think the worst part is all the students actually stayed the whole game for this one. So not only did they lose the game, the party wont be as big of a blowout as previously expected.

Well done. Honestly probably the playing hard, wins on the horizon thing. Pretty comparable to Mullens first year here, the LSU game comes to mind

While I agree they will be saying the same thing, lsu is a little different than aTm, and the two games were different. Goal line stands and imploding are separate things.

The ones I've talked to are frustrated... Still excited about having a chance to win and all, but heartbroken about how it ended. They fired Orgeron for a very similar 4th down call. It was gutsy, but it cost them a game too...

Overall, that was one awesome game...

The rational ones will take solace that they have shown signs of improvement

while the completely delusional ones will spend 4 days crying into a bottle of Jack

There are more Ole Miss threads on here than MSU ones right now.

I don't think anyone expected less than a 3 year rebuilding project after Nutt. Preseason many Ole Miss and State fans were talking about how we'd be fortunate to beat UTEP.

So the **** what? I'm sick of that stupid **** being brought up. MSU sleepwalked through a Kentucky game to go 5 and 0. Yay! But one of the most exciting games of the night was our in-state rival getting their balls chopped off on national TV by a questionable Texas A&M team in their home stadium. It's sports news and it's an interesting topic. Why do people feel the need to count the posts as if it's some taboo subject we shouldn't discuss. It's SEC sports you stupid jackass.

All this Ole Miss improvement talk had me reminiscing.

When I was 10, I had a kid on my baseball team that "improved." He even got an award for it. He hustled his tale off, and he did get a little better, but you know what? He still sucked.

And that little boy was Stu Freeze.

That recruit decommitted from Florida State after Ole Miss offered his sister a scholarship to play volleyball.

Balls chopped off is my way of describing a heartbreaking loss. I know you are a ******* idiot, but don't impose meaning just because you are too stupid to understand.

They'll be making a rule against doing this soon. They'll call it the black bear rule. Maybe we should offer her a scholly too. I hear we have an open spot on our team now.

I'm guessing Ole Miss was showing a little more love than FSU.....

Florida State can have their pick of just about anybody in the country right now. They won't lose a recruit they want to Ole Miss.

How could they possibly make a rule against that? There's no way the NCAA is going to get involved in trying to determine if his sister deserved a scholarship or not. And no way they're going to make a rule that says brothers/sisters can't both get scholarships at the same school. If that's what got them the recruit, then so what? Florida St. (or anybody else) could have offered her a scholarship too.

Edit to add: We didn't have a problem with recruiting Suh when his sister was on soccer scholarhship. And people were saying the same thing about UM giving a scholarship to Nkedemiche's brother, but he's playing and contributing for them, so there's no question he deserved a scholarship. Hell, we had his white brother on scholarship for a while ourselves.
