I feel pretty certain we didnt tip our hand too much vs Memphis regarding the running game or the passing game for that matter.
Second, if we'd gained 197 yards with one back instead of the committe, then there might be some cause for concern that auburn could make us one dimensional by shutting down the one running back. Of course we have lost the nearly sure fire 3rd and short conversion because our rb was a locomotive, but we have gained a dimension too. You just cannot predict with much accuracy WHO will be getting the ball now that Dixon is gone.
THAT, in and of it self , makes our running game a bit stronger (in a different way than last year) and the spread offense more in tune with what it's designed to do.
No, we arent a better running teamwith Dixon gone and there will be some shaky moments when we need those tough yards, but worry? I didnt see anything that gave me cause.
