It’s interesting that Willie doesn’t think Villasensor is an OSU lean necessarily, so am curious how much to read into guys transferring in to Stilly HS.

He moved from Colorado to Stillwater for a reason.
I don’t disagree the perceived correlation which is why Willie’s quotes on the intermat board made me pose the question…

I just took what Willie said to mean Villasenor is not a guaranteed OSU lock just because he moved to Stillwater. DT and co. are still gonna have to build that relationship and earn his commitment just like they did Jax’s or anyone else.
Willie may certainly be correct, but if I'm another coach, I'm not putting on a full court press for a kid that transferred to Stillwater his senior year. Sure anything can happen, but transferring to Stillwater can be a self fulfilling prophecy. It drives away other coaches.
It definitely is a big investment and with the trajectory of OSU wrestling, probably only secures it more. Most wrestlers will take their visits and keep the door open to some degree, it only increases their value
. They have all done it, including Lockett and Fix, the most orange cowboys in recent memory
Maybe dad/mom got a job opportunity in OKC or Tulsa if it’s not gonna be Stillwater? Would have Edmond North and Bixby as options?

which caught me by surprise too. he's worn OSU stuff for years and then moved there. he was also at the ground breaking for Coleman's facility. he seems very happy in the Cowboy family.

someone said this to me the other day too. but i don't know anything concrete. the person mentioned Bixby.
Isaiah Jones was said to be going from Bixby to Stillwater but now that might not be happening either.
i heard one of the three Edmond N. studs was transferring out too, but the guy was cheeky and wouldn't tell me which one.

A top 10 p4p recruit going to the academy is pretty interesting... Definitely a military kid but that may be some Wyatt effect.

Probably because this next recruiting class (2027) will be small, discussion about it has been light. I thought I would list a few of the top 30 recruits which I have seen list or narrow their list of schools. If they are not on here it is because I have not seen a list from them (one exception below).
-Melvin Miller-OSU made his top 9 which is probably a top 8 now
-Landon Sidun-OSU did not make his top 12
-Ignacio Villasenor-has not released a list that I have seen but OSU has to be on it

...does Cowboys have a top 5 or 7 to chose from?......this process seems to be in reverse....will NIL stuffs decreeing rules and numbers, I do not understand how the bigger Dogs can add to their rosters' numbers..........let the Cowboys take applications for the slots available.....understand to the minor THIS year that those on roster will not be count in the maximum numbers.....is so?.................best to all.......rs

I would be disappointed if Sidun didn't commit to PSU. Miller will be a bloodbath for his commitment. Hopefully he remembers that bag of money I gave him. I think Ignacio is yours.

Lets not forget our own Rocklin Zinkin wrestled Sidun 3-5 at the Doc B this year. Sidun was a huge fav and RZ was right there with him. Zinkin just won Fargo and is getting better and better.

Nice pick up for sure. He had an absolutely incredible U20 trials but didn’t place at Fargo losing 6-0 and getting pinned. He is definitely an A list prospect but needs more consistency. He’s young so I’m sure it will come
I was thinking the same thing that he’s kind of inconsistent. Still very glad to have him tho.
