OSU got the largest pic in the first post and is therefore where he’s going. GG’s everyone else

What is @vhsalum referring to here? I can not even see what that is. haha

Ummm… guys. 🥹

Iowa State's Chief Propaganda B$*ch

Also, acuhawk said I am a "no life loser" - but at the same time has an unseemly obsession with "scrotums" and whether or not posters on here resemble them. Weird guy.

He made an identical post but with a different set of pics immediately after.

This is a big moment for us getting to 35. My hope is Bo has the connection with our staff and wrestlers to commit to us. I hope that he sees our potential with our young wrestlers coming in and already here to win Nationals. My hope is he wants to be the center piece of the Cowboys revival to be the power in college wrestling again and dethrone Penn. St. With him, Jax and 1 of the top HWTs we could regain our place at the top and Bo's decision next week would be a foundation event which I think would be a door opening for an even higher level of recruiting.

My uninformed, 30,000ft analysis of the finalists and why Bo would choose them:

PSU: what even needs said? Carl has built the Death Star with a proven track record of turning guys into national champions. I’m sure the $$ is there as well, but it’s freakin Penn State.

Iowa: Money and Spencer Lee. I would imagine SLB has offered more money than most programs spend on their entire team, staff, and facilities combined. I think Iowa is where OSU was with the previous staff where they’re getting good guys but I don’t think they consistently help guys jump levels. I think getting or not getting Bo is going to be a pivotal moment in where TNT’s tenure goes from here. Land him and don’t parlay it into getting back into competition with PSU (and Lord willing, OSU)? Gone. Miss on him and Jax becomes must-get.

OSU: He trusts what DT and co. can build him into, and wants to be part of OSU’s resurgence to hopefully dethrone PSU. He’s about as close to must-get as can be, and missing out on him AND Jax would put a big damper on the speed of OSU’s (hopeful) rise.

Rutgers: Money and the opportunity to step on campus as the face of the wrestling program, and maybe the entire freaking athletics department. Would be kinda fun to see him go there if not OSU.

Nah!

He’s an auto AA and very notorious, but he’s not a must get.

Congrats fellas. Good get. DT is really bringing them in. Do you guys happen to have a "depth chart" with your active guys and recruits listed somewhere? I may have missed it. We have something like that over on the PSU board that's helpful seeing who's listed by year of eligibility and by weight. I'm genuinely curious to see what the future is bringing OSU top to bottom.

Senior Day was today. Those that walked included all of the seniors in your spreadsheet plus: Zach Blankenship (a 3rd yr Sophomore), Carter Young, Blake Skidgel, and Doucet. Maybe Young and Doucet walked just in case they don’t come back.

It use to not be uncommon for 4 year guys that had a year left to walk on Senior day with their "class" but now with transfers and covid years and everything not sure if you make nothing or make a ton out of it.

I really liked Blankenship as a recruit and when he got a couple chances. The effort is there, the talent just wasn't enough. Wouldn't hate to see him go for it somewhere else.

The 'Eligibility Breakdown' tab on wrestlestat does a great job of that!

Does anyone know when Bo Basset’s clinic in Stillwater is? If it is soon l, I think him announcing now is a good sign. With him reducing teams, I expected his announcement later. My thinking is if the clinic is soon, why announce close to your clinic unless going to home school. Also, saw somewhere on here that Coleman Scott was at the match. Hopefully that is a sign there will be a good relationship between his camp and OSU. And man, his camp is brining in some excellent people for clinics. It could be very positive. The better OSU is, the better pool of talent he has for clinics. The better opportunities he builds, the more attractive Stillwater is to recruits. Is Coleman on staff at Ohio state RTC? That might throw a wrench into my theory

I listened to an interview with Coleman recently. Not sure if he is unhappy with Weiberg or someone on the old staff but he said several times that he was promised
stuff by people he trusted and that he had known for years that he thought they had his best interest in mind.

I think OSU and Coleman thought he would probably be the leader to replace Coach Smith, but after the Paycom guy got involved I think OSU had to open up the job to get the Paycom donation. I tend to agree since OSU and wrestling need to do more to stay relevant with less funds.

Similar to when Boone agreed to give OSU even more money only if they hired Holder as
AD.

The $5 million number floated on the PSU board is bonkers, that would put Bo as the 2nd highest NIL valuation in college. A million I could definitely see with how marketable Bo is though.
That’s kind of what I’ve been thinking. $5 million is absurd. He’d be making more than most football players.

That $5 million number smells like an agent or friendly media person “leaking” an offer to drive up the actual offers. Same crap about how Quinn Ewers was allegedly offered $9 million to enter the portal at the end of this season. 0% chance he was offered that, and his agent just wanted to see what offers he could actually get. Scott Boras does the same thing, too

Yeah but aren't these numbers per year? The $5 mil rumor could be a total number to be paid out over 4 years giving the incentive to stay loyal.
