Are usually hate saying it’s a combination of both, but in this case….it is! They have a boatload of talent and athletes,but they look completely lost on the field. it’s honestly like watching a rec league team play. The score was 48-0 at the hAlf. Highland springs really overwhelmed them in the trenches which enabled the offense to do whatever they wanted. Henrico only had one first down in the first half. Next week versus colonial Forge will be a much better challenge.
I hate what has happened to Henrico's program. I'm not saying they should exactly be at Varina and HSHS's level, but there is no excuse to not be better than the rest of the county.
Henrico has a decent qb and some good athletes. They couldn't do anything against probably the best defense in the State. On the other side, HS's offense and special teams had their with Henrico's defense. I will add that HS has the most potent offense in the state too.
I predict that nobody will beat Highland Springs this year. This team IS that good.
