When is the froyo 2.2 android update coming out? I see that it has been released In Europe. I can't find anything about CS getting it on the web. Might help with battery issues.

The CS Reps keep telling me, every time I ask about 2.2, that it is still in testing and they do not have a release date yet. I have been to their "Blog" and on every post they make about android, I make it a point to post a question about 2.2. I believe they were waiting until they release the new Galaxy and Milestone before releasing; well, now that they have released those one would hope that the update will come soon.
On a side note, I read somewhere that 2.2 will allow Android users to activate the "wireless hotspot" feature. Anyone else heard this? The only reason I see CS doing us wrong is the fact that the Desire has the feature of a built-in FM radio, but CS decided not to activate this feature for some reason (as stated by their reps).

I wouldn't expect to see if before New Years. Once all the new phones for this year have been released (2 more tomorrow), testing will be able to focus more on 2.2. The Galaxy was the priority and most of the technical testers were focused on that for good reason, it is the best phone we've ever released and will probably be the best phone we have until we roll out 4G next year.
