UNA coach says it'll take 'unbelievable opportunity' go lure him. OC in the SEC. I don't know what UTC would offer him as the head coach but you would have to think that we would pay him more than the $100,250 base salary he makes now. Maybe around the 150,000 - 200,000 range as OC here?

position may make sense and work out. Other times, it may not be such a good idea. Generally speaking, if you can spot a good up and coming guy who is "hungry" for more responsibility, it may be better than one who, in a sense, will possibly be taking a step backward as far as responsibility is concerned....hell, "progress always entails some degree of risk."...I know this to be a fact because I heard Dr. Lou sPRay it the other night on ESPN.

Since Mullen is turning over the play calling duties to his OC, you gotta figure it is going to be someone who he has worked with and is comfortable with. I would love to have Hudspeth on staff, but I dont see it happening.

Stan Drayton would be a great hire.

calls the plays, but runs most by the head coach, who occasionally changes some. Which I'm sure is what Mullen will do. I don't really like the HC calling the plays, but I don't want him totally out of the loop either.

Here is exactly what he said at the press conference....

"Offensively, I will be very, very involved in the offense even though my number-one goal is going to be coaching special teams. But I will have a lot of input on the offensive side of the ball, I'll make a lot of suggestions in the play-calling, even though I feel it's best my focus be more on the effort our team plays with and make sure we have great special teams."

Could be Germans for this board, not really sure though.

It seems Urban and Drayton were not the best of buds. According to the article, Urban even made Drayton cry.

They're not even really tight. A lot of days, I've seen Coach Drayton shed tears before. Not in front of (Meyer), but right after practice because of how he acknowledged him, because of how he belittled him.
