Huge game for Coach Brown

Of course every game is very important in college football, I think this could be a massive opportunity for Coach Brown to really take a large step forward.

not a current Rich Rodriguez fan, but a fan of his teams in his progress during the year, would like to see this team string together a coming out party in November much like the 2002-2003 teams.

It is a huge game for Bryce Wheaton..

He has to get open.
If he can that can open up the run

But to get open you need time to throw the ball and the QB to deliver it.
If WVU has to move the pocket it hurts their run game and puts Doege at a disadvantage

Move 10 feet to the right or left in a hurry and see if you can throw something as accurately as if you can stand still.

Neal Brown knows what he has to do but sometimes those players aren't there.

^^^ TVZ doesn't even pretend to root for Texas anymore. This is good to see, as Hero Herman won't be able to recover from a loss on Saturday, and another coaching change would set Texas back even further, unless Urban agrees to bail out the Longhorns, which is unlikely.

What does that have to do with anything I said...

The game is pretty simple.

I think as of right now Texas doesn't have the CBs so...
Has nothing to do with coaching. It has to do with players in the program.

The question becomes does Texas get those players in the program or develop the ones they have.

If WVU wins doesn't change anything about Neal Brown
Same as if Texas wins. Doesn't change anything about Tom Herman.

You're obsessed with Neal Brown, TVZ. You use to obsess over Marshall. Neither makes any sense for a (pretend) Texas fan. I'm just glad that you've dropped the "I'm a Texas fan" act at just the right time. A WVU win would mean the end for Tom Herman, who can't keep losing 3-4 games in conference play and keep his job. I told you that it was Urban who won those titles, but you naively gave all of the credit to Herman...I can see you blushing now.

I am not the one attempting to set him up for failure...

I see if Neal Brown comes out and attempts to play conservative in the beginning and leans of Leddie Brown you can blame him...

But the fact that what happens this week doesn't change anything about Neal Brown as a coach

Texas has played close games all year...
So most likely this will turn into a battle of what QB can make the plays to end the game.
Majority of people will go with Ehlinger

Ehlinger didn't play that well in Morgantown last season, and Texas needed +3 in the turnover category to win by 11 points. If WVU wins the turnover battle, then Tommy will be toast.

They could have scored on every possession to end that game last year

They had the defense opened up.
Mainly because of Duvernay. WVU couldn't cover him with just one player

This allowed other players to make plays and opened up the running game.

This is a totally different year.

Regarding turnovers...
They have created the most in the Big 12 so good chance that turnovers will play a role once again

This is a totally different year but football hasn't changed.

Why it is called basketball on grass

You know basketball. If you have a guy hot you feed him the ball
Defenses have to adjust. When they adjust you give the ball to others

David Yost at Tech showed this once again against WVU

On WVU to be able to make those windows smaller and take time away.

But it will be hard against an experienced QB who has showed no matter what he can find a way to move the ball when it comes down to it.

WVU has to be the team who makes Texas adjust early in the game and put them in a hole.

But the issue is getting the ball ro the playmakers like Wheaton

Would be this teams and Bowns first "signature" win -- important step if they can make it happen.

So beating the BIG 12 frontrunner and 16th ranked team in college football like a freaking drum ensemble is not a signature win.

Perhaps your dumbest post ever. Get off the board clown.

Well I don’t think it’s a signature win, but he could have that signature run to end the year.

I would like to see Doege pull it and run a ton on the read option. Definitely see it opening up the defense for stronger runs. However sliding a yard and a half to 2 yards short of the first down marker in the last game doesn’t give me a ton of hope.

Really need to get this one.

My God you are ignorant. Arkansas State beat Kansas State and KSU was down their starting QB when WVU beat them. No one but an ignoramus like you would consider that a signature win.

You should really stop trolling here and anywhere, each post is dumber than the last and just a bunch of pointless noise.

#16 Unbeaten Big 12 leader. Still in first place in Big 12 with 4-1 record. Yeah it's not signature. But beating a team that lost to OU who lost to KSU is a signature win. Look in mirror and ask yourself why are you still here. Sure winning at Texas will be a big win. But no more bigger than beating a higher ranked team KSU. Now run along and play with the other children while the adults talk sports.

Good solid win by WVU on Saturday, but you don't truly believe that Kansas State is either the best team in the Big 12 or the No. 16 team in the country, do you? WVU beat a ranked Kansas State team in the Little Apple last season, remember?

Texas is playing well now and beating them in Austin will be a signature win for Brown and company, much bigger than the KSU game- a team that lost to Arkansas State at home.

it could put WVU in the top 25 and will be noticed nationally.

Enjoy the celebration of our veterans and if WVU wins it makes it even better for their fanbase.

Game itself takes a backseat because it is the Veterans Recognition Football Game.
The stadium itself is a war memorial.
