Huge Win. Pitched it well. Gotta get the bats going this weekend.

Interesting fact, Ct. Bradford has 228 SEC at bats in his career. He has 8, yes 8, extra base hits in his SEC career. Bradford is a career .246 hitter in SEC play.

For comparisons sake, Sam Frost has 7 extra base hits in his SEC career...in only 107 at bats. Frost is a career .252 hitter in SEC play.

Bradford's bat is hurting us, bigtime.

His bat may be hurting right now but we HAVE to have his glove in the outfield. He's too valuable out there and we don't have anybody else that could fill his shoes. People seem to only look at hitting stats. That's not the only aspect of the game.

He is very good defensive outfielder, but he was supposed to be a great all around player. This is why he's so criticized. We have too many easy outs in this lineup. If we get lindgren and woodruff to pitch up to potential, our weak lineup will be less of an issue.

Who are you? Clearly rugb must have been hacked because the post title is actually positive.

You can have guys like that in your lineup as long as they are in the right spots in your lineup.

Exactly.

As mentioned, people overlook his glove. He's one of the best defensive guys in the nation.

You can "give" offense up the middle i.e. catcher, shortstop and centerfield. Obviously, you would prefer that your catcher, shortstop and centerfielder could hit over .300 and hit for a little pop; BUT, with those being the three most important positions on defense, if you have to give a little offense, you can afford to do it at those positions.

Exactly. I don't care if he's hitting .200, he's got to play for his defense. But, as I've been saying for 2 years, he is not a good hitter and probably never will be. Looks like most are starting to realize this. It is what it is. But he's got to be in the lineup. He needs to be batting 9th though.
