win by the Yankees tonight. That was playoff ball. Swish showed that he deserved that all-star spot. That's what baseball atmosphere is. What a way to send The Boss and Bob off.

in between rolls at the Alhambra Casino in Aruba. Not saying Swish didn't deserve an all-star spot... but a 3-5 game with a game-winning single doesn't validate an all-star berth.
you would have known the implications of the game (not just the fact that they're playing the Rays who were two back) and that it was a huge win. Swish won them the game, offensively. Swisher was 3/5 with 3 RBIs, a bomb to tie it in the 8th, the game winning hit in the 9th, and was robbed of a bomb in the 5th. It was an impressive performance considering they needed the win for The Boss and the standings. Like I said, he stepped up and won the game for them. You make it sound as if all he did was get one hit during the game.
like Swisher's all-star selection was validated by a great game. He had a great game... no doubt... but it has no bearing on all-star selection.
