WVU (regular season) is solidly anchored at #5 since they joined the Big 12. We average a 9-9 record, which seems, well, average. Not in the basement, not showin’ off.

9-9 is just about right for an overall average....... an exact number
might be closer to around 8.5 wins and 9.5 losses if we bottom
out the rest of this season.

EIGHT single-digit losses by WVU this season!

If Mountaineers won HALF of those close games then they would be 19-8 and in March Madness.

And in middle of Big 12 standings instead of 1 more loss, with THREE Top 25 teams ahead, of LAST in the Big 12!

But they turn into the Five Stooges in the final 5 minutes, game after game after game.

It’s SO painful to watch. Must even MORE painful to be the Hall of Fame coach or the 9 college transfers on the team who fared better elsewhere!

Enough angst, agony, pain to last a lifetime!

Huggins was a HOF coach at Cincinnati. Here at WVU, he's been mediocre.
The current state of the game has passed him by. 94-99 in conference play?
Those aren't HOF numbers. 5 NCAA appearances in 11 years?

The sycophants are really holding on to that Final Four 13 years ago and all those wins he got while not even coaching at WVU.

Since Huggins took JB's core group to the FF in 2010. These coaches have also made it to FF:

Gregg Marshall
Kevin Ollie
Dana Altman
Frank Martin
Porter Moser
Bruce Pearl
Mick Cronin
Kelvin Sampson
Thad Matta (FF in 2007 and 2012....you might remember his firing...as Huggins floating his name out there as a candidate for the job in 2017).

Go back a few years prior and you have coaches like Jim Larranaga, John Brady, and John Thompson III making trips.

No objective WVU fan would think the coaches list above be given tenure at his school. In fact, many of those coaches have been canned. But here at lowly WVU, even questioning Huggins lack of halftime adjustments is considered blasphemy and you're labelled a hater.

It’s not that it’s after a loss, it’s after years of mediocrity. Huggins says the players don’t do this or that. I see a team that doesn’t screen, block out, run a coherent offense. Don’t blame the players you recruited. Teach them what they need to know. Sick of Huggs blaming the players.

The worst passing team I have seen in many, many years. I think Huggins is holding up "STOP" signs in practice, encouraging a type of hesitant offense run in grade school play. Stop and look. Stop and look. Swing it around and around, instead of teaching the art of passing, crisp, quick, lookaway, bounce, chest. All practically non-existent on this team.

Passing is THE FOUNDATION of offense.

The great Boston Celtic Bob Cousy once had 19 assists in one half of a game, a record that still stands decades after his legendary career ended. Cousy dished out 6,955 assists in a Celtic uniform. The Magic Man, Magic Johnson, piled up an astounding 10,141 assists during his phenomenal playing career. 10,141 assists!! Talk about the art of passing. Unreal.

Our own Jerry West, known more for his scoring skills and his 27-point career average in the NBA, piled up over 7,000 assists in his storybook pro days. He definitely knew how to distribute the roundball.

How many games could this team have won if good passing skills had been in place? How many more points could have been scored if the open man had been hit with a nice, sharp pass. Answer: Many. Result: Victories.

Passing A Basketball for Beginners should be mandatory in the practice sessions conducted by Bob Huggins.
