I thought watching them in person would help me see something different. Well it did. This crap is worse than anyone can imagine.

Losses to ISU and Baylor are basically guaranteed. 1st round loss in Big 12. Possible play in game or Nit will be a loss.

Seems the only difference between this year and last year is that this year we didn't play like dogshit the ENTIRE year. But since just over midway through the year, this team has pretty much played as bad as last year's team which I'm not sure which is worse. Sucking all year because you just flat out suck or sucking for the second half of a season despite there clearly being some competency on the team.

OU is a difficult team to defend because of Manek.

Even with all that they had a chance to cut the lead to 6 with 2:30 left but McBride missed the layuo.
Went from 21 to 6 and that team was still fighting.

Teams that have a big who can shoot can give WVU issues.

OU is actually more efficient on offense than defense unlike the rest of the Big 12 teams.

I usually am on board to the bitter end if only to watch to see who gets better as the season goes along. I'm not sure anyone on this team, including the coaches has gotten better as the season progressed. Maybe McNiel and Sherman but I'm not sure they ever got enough PT to show a trend. Seems that several players got worse.

Have to crack up at posters that have been endlessly bashing other posters who tried to discuss the debacle being witnessed by Mountaineer fans since the season began, now posting threads saying exactly what they've denied all season long.

Right before WVU took down #2 TOSU in Ohio, they won at UNC Chapel Hill and at UK Lexington.

WVU wore them out and they havent recovered yet.

You were saying?

There is little reason to post on a board overrun by a few narcissistic trolls.

Fans try to discuss anything- Allen boy rushes in to attack attack. Then when reality sets in and the narcissist is shown to be a total *** so cant deny or lie anymore- you got it- reverses course, flips 180.

Clever little bot.

Meanwhile its too bad WVU has collapsed completely. The season looked very promising at the start.
Too bad there isnt a site for Mountaineer fans to discuss what happened.

Well, the lineup change may have been the final blow to this team. At the time I felt it was necessary too, but seems like they have just given up on the season. Sad. I know we are struggling to shoot, but when you look at the stats we have a post player that will shoot less than 40% from the floor and getting a lot of action. If you are shooting that low, then work to get an offensive rebound or you aren't getting the ball. We try to force feed the ball in the post and get a missed shot or a foul, which results in a missed FT.

I guess it's time for Mazey to rescue the WVU sports season.

But didn't you say WVU was worse as a team when McBride was ball hogging it up and scoring 20+ per game? Then WVU goes into the tank without his offense. So even if the overly optimistic or stay the course folks are wrong, doesn't make your ravings, rantings and desire to see a player have a season ending injury any less stupid or disgusting.

Maybe the team is just tired after working in early summer for the European trip, all the travel, playing games over there and then coming home to prepare for this season--a young team with many being pushed harder by Huggins than they've ever been pushed before. They'll mature and improve.

Is there recovery or still more questions after ISU win?

I'm a pessimist by nature, but I think it may be justified here. The collapse in the open of the second half against most teams would have likely resulted in a loss. The team looked like the slumping group for most of the second half and I take the good first half with a grain of salt given how bad ISU is this year. So I'm about at the same level of confidence as I was before the game. Being competitive in a loss against Baylor would make me feel better than any victory over ISU this year. Baylor should still play hard and with hope because if they win and Kansas loses at TTU, they can win the conference. Unless they just resign themselves to 2nd place and just go through the motions in preparation for post season play. Honestly, I prefer the latter so WVU has a better chance of a resume boost.
