I’ll give Stevenson credit, he kept shooting. Definitely not the way you wanna bounce back after giving an apology. This team should make the tournament, but could easily be a bubble team.

Calling him out in a press conference might not have been the best way to handle the situation but it is what it is. Maybe we will get Perez and Huggs will run some press. At least then it would be more entertaining to watch

It's just as I feared. You eliminate his aggressiveness and you kill the player.

Nobody representing WVU in a public place should grab his crotch like Stevenson did. And every other school should have the same attitude. At some point you have to put your foot down and not let the inmates run the asylum.

On one hand I don't want to sound too stereotypically old man-y, but OTOH just because and old man complains doesn't necessarily mean he's wrong. If you let people get away with more and more then they'll do more and more. And the athletes are simply coddled too much at this point, especially considering they're now getting not just tuition and room and board but NIL money too.

Try going into your workplace and facing a group of people and grabbing your crotch. You'll probably get fired and maybe sued too.

I thought calling him out and threatening to kick him off of the team to the media was too much grandstanding. Everyone was frustrated. I’m a huge fan of Huggs, but stay in control and keep it together.

Huggs was correct in handling an issue with a player that affected the team's performance and outcome. That is the job. If it has a short term effect, so be it.
