Bo Scarborough committed to OM this morning. Kid has some pretty serious grade issues. Has spent the last year at a diploma mill in Florida, or at least was expected to enroll there.

But he's pretty good. Hopefully he's a monster in Scooba MS next year.

Where are you seeing this? I don't believe that this is correct, but of course, I certainly hope that it is.

Meh -- not saying it couldn't happen because they've been after him for awhile -- but it hasn't happened yet. At least not publicly. No talk of it on public OM sites that are normally pretty plugged into recruiting.

He may be a grade risk -- but he's one that I would love to be taking. Dixon size from the RB position(Bama won't likely let him stay at the position hence his looking around). We're still talking to him as well FWIW...

So are LSU and Bama padding their recruiting stats?

They are the ones OM is fighting with to get him.

I don't think he has committed, but i assure you that there is not a school in the nation that would not make room for him.

It was just someone being stupid. If you see a post from "Madzak", it is crap. He is one of those posters that likes to act weird and goofy in order to live up to an internet persona. He's like C34 except he doesn't take things seriously and doesn't come close to acting like he knows anything.

Scarborough wants to play RB and ole miss is the only school that is recruiting him for that. It's the same reason we signed Montrell Conner from Monroe a few years back. Everyone in America wanted him as a LB, but we were selling him as Dixon's replacement. You see how well that worked out.

Bama is the only one that wants to convert him to LB. LSU wants him at RB also.

But it looks like they will get Larry Fournette so you would assume the two best rb's in the nation won't go to the same school. Which leaves it to Bama/OM, so if we get him, it would only be b/c LSU gets Fournette and he chooses OM b/c he doesn't want to play LB at Bama. If Fournette goes to Bama, Scarborough then probably goes to LSU. So OM is really only a backup plan for him if his main two options don't work out.

I'm on all the sites and this is news to me if he committed. It has also been very clear we are his "back-up" plan if the events above fall into place. Everything I have seen indicates he will be at bama.

Weren't we the first to offer him about 3 years ago? Seems like I remember hearing Mullen was recruiting him hard since his freshman year.

Would suck for him to sign with UM but it wouldn't be surprising.

He's a *****. I watched him play many high school games. Constantly hurt, always wanting to come out of the game, failed to show up in the games that mattered. But he is capable. His weakest area is between his ears. Heard he has a 15 on the ACT.

unless something has changed in the last few days......

From Orlando Sentinel a few days ago

....There has been a lot of recent speculation that Scarbrough is headed to Mississippi, but the 6-foot-2, 225-pound athlete, who will play either running back or defensive back in college, said let them all think what they want.

Scarbrough laughed at the notion that everyone knows more about where he’s going to college than even himself.
“They swear they do. They think they do,” Scarbrough said.
And while he admits that Ole Miss coaches, as well as the Florida coaching staff, are both coming at him harder than any other school with recruiting pitches, he said he’s still rolling with the Tide. Alabama is the lone official visit he has set up for next month, but said he will take other officials once he figures out a schedule.
His cousin is currently committed to Florida, and wide receiver Cyontai Lewis, also from Tuscaloosa, has stuck with the Gators so far. Scarbrough says his kin even tries to make his own Gator pitch.
“When he says something to me about being a Gator, I say, ‘Hey, you can come roll with the Tide and stay at home, man,’ ” Scarbrough laughed.
He said he doesn’t have a timetable for making any public announcement and even suggested that there won’t be one necessary with his commitment still solid to Alabama.
“Maybe, probably, stick with my commitment,” he said.
Time will tell.

No no no. Bama is not recruiting him at LB, they are recruiting him at RB. It is the speculation of recruiting sites and reporters that he will play LB based on Bama's depth chart. Bo wants to play RB. If Bama was telling him LB, he wouldn't be committed.

I'm not saying that he won't be moved to LB, but that is not what Bama is currently telling him. He is considering Ole Miss because he likes our depth chart much better. I doubt he signs with us though.
