Patterson says on average a visitor spends about $240 a day when they come to the city. With the H-Bowl a week after the Poinsettia Bowl this year the hope is those BSU fans who made the trip to California will be back to help out come December 30th.

"It generates enthusiastic spending," said Patterson.

As of Monday afternoon the University of Maryland says it's sold about 16 tickets to the game. The University of Nevada says it's sold 8 so far.

be funny, I just don't see a reason to put it in there. hell, i would have put them sooner in the article because they are pretty damn funny. but i also am not a reporter so putting funny stuff in doesn't really matter much to me or my job.

the ADs and higher ups at the respective schools wouldn't either. Im just guessing its some lady that works in the office but has an idea of the no. sold.

This can't when trying to get into other bowls in the future. But surely they understand no one wants to go to Boise in the winter

The bowl season is so watered down now that about half don't really have much meaning. Really, why is there an ACC tie-in to a bowl game in Boise, Idaho? I don't think anyone would cry if the New Mexico Bowl and the St. Petersburg Bowl were discontinued.

And the San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl should be discontinued because of the sponsor's name alone (despite this year's uncommonly good matchup).

the numbers are right. i think most fans are buying tickets through bsu instead of their universities. by "most" i mean the 30 others
