It's obvious at all levels of baseball that year in and year out the balls don't remain the same but why do the decision makers seem to keep it a secret when they Make chose changes? And wouldn't it be pretty simple to take a last year ball in one hand and a this year ball in the other and drop both at the same height on a hard surface and see if they bounce the same?

A lot of the reason some of these balls are carrying so far early in the season this year is simply from the weather we have had.

The early warm weather has balls carrying out at all levels of play right now. I've seen some balls hit in highschool this year that were shots. Normally this time of year we are still having some bitterly cold spells that we just haven't had this February and the start of March.
