I've always liked him as a coach. Fiery and that's what I like to see on the sidelines. A coach that isn't afraid to berate a player on the bench.

I wonder if Tubby is interested in coaching for much longer. You know, he might be satisfied to stay where he is for 5 more years and hang it up.

if someone would go coach at Minnesota they would come coach at Mississippi State. I went to school at both universities, the only good thing about the University of Minnesota is that it has a complete tunnel system between buildings so you don't have to go outside in the -20 degree winter.

So far he's hired nothing but young coaches on their way up. Tubby is a retread. The ninja would hire somebody from a mid-major with sustained success or a top assistant from north carolina or duke. Not that I would mind having Tubby at all, he'd be a huge hire if Stans were out of the picture for whatever reason.

I don't think the ninja would hire him anyway just like stated above. He is not in the business of hiring "older" guys. It doesn't fit with what he's doing. He's hiring young energetic guys on the rise and right now there is no one we'd take of Stans (I don't believe).

I like Tubby but I think Stans is a much more loyal guy. I'm not sure Tubby would stick around if he had a lot of success.
