Let's say we run the table but lose the Egg. Ole Miss beats everyone (including us) but Auburn. Auburn's only loss is to us. 3 questions about that scenario:

1. Who would go to the SECCG? We'd all be 11-1 and we'd all have the same division record. I'm not smart enough to decipher the tie-breakers from there.

2. Could both of the West teams not in the SECCG get in the playoff?

3. Is this the committee's nightmare scenario?

I think the tie breaker goes to the biggest johnson

No positive but I think Mullen would have that one in the bag.

I believe it would then go to the your eastern div opponents records. We would be 17ed. So would OM. Aub would go because they play GA and South Carolina.

Somebody wrote an article about this a couple of weeks ago and Auburn pretty much wins anything more than a two way tie because of who they play from the east. I think that was assuming Ky finished in the bottom two but right now they look pretty good in the east.

My first guess is Alabama........

No seriously, Auburn's going to lose at least one more. TAMU, AT Ole Miss, AT Georgia, AT Bama.....no way they come through that 4-0. So there's their second loss.

If Ole Miss wins out until the Egg and we lose at Bama, we will still win the West when we win the Egg. Easy peasy japanesey.

That's what it would come down to. Record of Eastern division opponents. With both us and UM playing Vandy, we'd be screwed.

If Ole Miss wins out until the Egg, we lost at Bama, and we win the Egg Bowl that gets us to the Eastern records again. We need to pull for Kentucky and Vanderbilt pull against Florida and Tennessee.

Right, gets us to the east records with Bama. So we need UGA or TAMU to beat Auburn and Auburn to beat Bama.

The only potential loss I see for Auburn is at Mississippi. They're on a different level than A&M, UGA and Bama.
