Lebby starts K1 vs MO citing that Shapen is still not 100%. State wins the game in Columbia. We then enter the bye week. Shapen has time to fully heal. Will Lebby start Shapen for the Egg? If so, do the boo birds come out. If Shapen struggles, will Lebby bring K1 in? So far, Lebby has only brought in the backup QB due to injury, not for struggling and trying to create a spark. Although, that has been the result of the qb change twice this year.

I present this hypothetical because I believe that exact scenario is about to play out. I would hope that Lebby would go ahead and start Taylor in the Egg if he wins vs MO. Shapen is Lebby's boy. He is a 7th year player, understands the offense, works hard, extremely tough, a leader of the team, an accurate QB. Taylor is a true Frosh who hasn't put in all that work yet, but, just a more talented player. Does Lebby have it in him to bench the veteran of his final game after all he's been through?

Yes. In that situation you probably have to start Taylor. However, it is highly unlikely we win at Missouri, and we aren't winning the Egg Bowl if Tom Brady starts for us.

BUT
I have been wrong about what this team has left all year. Hope I'm wrong twice more.

If we beat Mizzou with Kamario and then start Shapen the next game, our fans are going to lose their minds.
