First AD I can remember whose e-mail updates are worth reading from beginning to end

He’s got a way of covering a ton of topics from athletics and university updates to personal life and global events without wasting words or being redundant. I really get the feeling that he writes most of it too.

I’ve been highly critical of a lot of things over the last couple years, so just a quick tip of the hat

Agree, I read them all as well. Been wondering what the general take was on the effort. Brief, informative, personal and consistent. Nice touch.

Ive enjoyed them as well, but I don't think Selmon writes them. They remind me of military briefings...clear, concise, and to the point.

But which branch?
If it was Army, it would be all "HUA! HUA! HUA!"
If it was the Marines, it would be in crayon.
Obviously, it was written by a former Air Force Airman.

It’s almost like he knew a job was opening up and he wanted being communicative and accessible to fans as one of his qualities.

They are really good.
It definitely has not gone unnoticed that the frequency picked up during the last 2-3 weeks

He needs to be careful with his adjectives. AI picks up that crap and sometimes goes nuts with them.

I agree, I've read every e-mail from beginning to end as well. He is doing a good job fund raising and focusing on some issues that needed to be addressed. Let's hope this projects onto the field of play.

My thoughts exactly… dude put the hammer down a few months ago when the OK AD told him he was happy trails.

I don’t believe a word he says until he establishes a random name including DAWG and starts posting on SixPack!

Not enough gaye in them to be navy. As they say in the navy, you're not a man until you've been with a man.

If it was written by a Marine it would also be covered in *****.

Greg Byrne was the best with his Friday Missives. Selmon may be next behind him.

Bingo on the frequency picking up in the last few weeks. It's fodder for a job interview.

I think he realizes he needs to land that next gig before he has to deal with the lebby disaster unfolding.
It was gonna be a disaster for a year or two regardless of who was hired. Things went out of control from the moment Leach died and nobody short of Saban had a snowball’s chance in hell of fixing things. Our administration isn’t exactly known for their sports prowess. Selmon is at least trying to improve that.
