I'd assume the consensus is 8-2. We lose 141 and HWY. I'd consider that a whooping.

I wouldn't sleep on Davino. Looking forward to him vs Blaze.
Agree about Davino.

Bouzakis is dangerous at 125. Lilledahl should try to win from neutral and avoid rolling around on the mat.
Fishback vs Welch at 184 will be another close, low-scoring bout. Wouldn't surprise much if it went to OT.

anOSU also has very good wrestlers at 157 (Cannon) and 174 (Kharchla), but most would favor PSU at both weights. Should be a bunch of good match-ups.

No, actually making an *** of myself. I mumbled something stupid about Adam Smith not keeping his head up and it turns out I was sitting next to his family.

I did something like that once. In the early days of the Red Barons-long before thy moved to the Lehigh Valley and became the Iron Pigs, I went to a lot of games. Bleacher seats were like 3 or 4 bucks. One night, there was a rain out, so my friend said let's go watch the big club at the Sports Page (a bar in Moosic). I got there had a couple and was watching Darren Daulton struggle with some injuries and went on a rant about how the guy should be allowed to heal up, especially since they had a guy who just finished tearing it up in AAA sitting on the bench.

Finally, my friend said "hey dummy, he can't be there and here at the same time". The guy to his right extended his hand and said "Hi, I'm Todd Pratt". He bought us a beer and told us he appreciated his fans but knew Daulton was "the man" and how much better life was in the big show.

And I think tOSU's delusions of grandeur end on Friday, February 13.

Where were you guys during the Sunderland years?
Watching the great wrestlers of the greatest wrestling State in the nation win championships and all American honors at Little schools across the mud Atlantic and Northeast and Midwest at all kinds of schools like Bucknell, Edinboro, Lehigh, Rider, Ohio State, Iowa, Oklahoma State, Minnesota, Illinois, and about 20 other places that immediately became obliterated once the sleeping giant awoke with the help of Cael.

Yeah. It isn't like I love chewing on my own shoes, but when I insert my foot into my mouth I go all in.

But will TaTo send out all his starters?

I think it's a close dual with Penn State obviously favored, but OSU has a punchers chance if everything goes their way. Of course it could also be a rout.

Where does it hurt?
I wasn't hurt, I was a loyal fan, starting with Bill Koll. Wife and I traveled all across the country hoping for a National champ or 2, or maybe just a few AA's. We had fun, we had many great memories.

I did hurt though when I took my wife to her 1st wrestling event, she graduated from Clarion and my Penn State stud, Clyde Frantz was about to wrestle some punk named Wade Schalles, before the match I told her I wasn't going to say a word. Wade gave his leg and then Clyde bridged for a minute 14 seconds, I think while my wife was screaming and I was true to my word, said nothing. She has since converted to Penn State and My daughter and her son have been coming with us to Nationals. My grandson, who is my avatar, has never seen Penn State lose Nationals. I think he was 6 when Bo pinned MyMar and he simply stood up and said, Bo Nickal saved the day. We do Fan Experience now and a couple years ago Bo was there to do autographs and take pictures. My grandson got a nice big white board picture of Bo signed that he keeps in his room.

At another tourney when my daughter was about 7 years old we were sitting next to Carl DeStefanis' parents and after a match he came up. I told my daughter to get his autograph and she did and laid a kiss on a welt he had under his eye.

We had fun even in the lean times. I could tell a few stories about Iowa boosters who I heard talking between sessions back when Nationals was at Iowa. It has to do with a car.

The problem with saying a puncher's chance is if everything goes right a puncher's chance is a singular turn of events. Ohio State would need about 4 separate punchers to pull off 4 separate event altering moments. A PSU rout doesn't require things to follow script, just mostly.

Good Point, but I think of it as a series of body blows. Small wins, kidney punch... I don't think it goes this way, but this isn't an insane outcome.

125 LL vs Bouzakis toss up 0-3 OSU
133 Blaze vs Davino toss up 0-6 OSU
141 Desmond vs Menendez TF 0-11
149 Van Ness vs Stiles Dec 3-11
157 Duke vs Cannon Dec 3-14
165 Brink vs Paddy MD 7-14
174 Haines vs Karchla Dec 10-14
184 Rocco vs Fishback tossup 13-14
197 Barr vs Geog MD 17-14
285 Mirasola vs Feldman Dec 17-17

I have LL, Blaze, Duke and Rocco winning, but the scenario I laid out is possible although highly unlikely. I'll take shot for it, but that's OK.

Questioning my sanity as I was doing a 3.5 hour drive each way to watch a team that didn't show up.
The sad thing is, I watched Troy wrestle in high school, he was slick.

His senior year in college he was a heavy favorite to win, but even he admitted that he froze up in the finals.

Mirasola may win that match (certainly would not surprise me). However, there is no "we shall see" about whether or not Feldman will be the clear favorite going into the match. He is the favorite to win that head-to-head.
Feldman beat Cole 10-3 last year, and this year beat Ferrari, Hopke, and Carroll all in 1 weekend.

Not sure why anyone thinks Cole would be favored as of today.

tOSU does have a really good lineup, but with this match at home, don't see them pulling off the number of upsets needed to tie/win. Should be a great dual though, look forward to attending.

Might require food poisoning at team pre match meal for this to happen.
