It’s November and five games into the season. That was embarrassing tonight and so was the Louisville trashing, but I’m remaining optimistic that we get Quaintance and Lowe in the lineup and have a good season.
Five games in and seen zero improvement on the defensive end and the offense has fallen off a cliff. No idea what has you hopeful but I’d sure love someIt’s November and five games into the season. This seems like the opposite of what's happening.I think a lot of us are trying really hard to not overreact to what we've seen so far, especially since everyone loves Mark Pope and what he means to this program.
THIS exactly the way it started with Cal... back in 2018ishIt’s November and five games into the season. That was embarrassing tonight and so was the Louisville trashing, but I’m remaining optimistic that we get Quaintance and Lowe in the lineup and have a good season.
The December schedule has 4 more tough games.A turnaround is possible, but man, it doesn't seem likely at all.
I know, a few at home though, so I mean there is a chance. The December schedule has 4 more tough games.
The game is played in the real world. Unfortunately, you are living in fantasy land! It’s November and five games into the season. That was embarrassing tonight and so was the Louisville trashing, but I’m remaining optimistic that we get Quaintance and Lowe in the lineup and have a good season.
It’s most definitely still X and O problem. Kelvin Sampson would have opposing coaches breathing through a straw if he had a roster like thisThis is not an X and O problem.
This is not a Moe and Joe problem.
This is not a money problem.
This is a failure of leadership problem.
From the top down. It is just unacceptable for a UK team to just not compete.
I always go back to Pitino’s first year. Completely over matched in every game.
Got blown out by Kansas in record fashion but never stopped playing.
That team went 14-14 and UK fans loved them.
This is not that.
He has potentially lost institutional control of the program if players are fighting. You don’t come back from that. Another year isn’t going to change anything. It happened with Gillespie and even ole Mitch couldn’t muster up giving him another year. This is not an X and O problem.

Bro if Oweh was simply playing like last year’s Oweh it would help. I have no idea what happened to that guy. If you told me he shared a basketball with the Mon-Stars and they took his talent to their home planet, I wouldn’t disbelieve itI said it in another thread, but one of Pope’s biggest failures since being here was putting a lot of faith (and probably money) into Oweh and BG being major cogs of this year’s team. It’s like Pope got hypnotized by Oweh’s pre-season hype (when anyone who watched him last year knew he was NEVER going to be the go-to guy of any successful team) and somehow thought BG would be a big contributor as the starting center.
Pope seems like a super smart guy, but a lot of us Benny’s could have told him that Oweh can’t be your go-to guy and that BG will never be a starting SEC center.
Rumors are a fight between 2 players before Cards game. And tonight Garisson was screaming at guys in the huddle until Pope stepped in.What’s this players fighting thing ? Is that what was happening?
What I mean by that is that they are not being led to X and O play. Not that they couldn’t be.It’s most definitely still X and O problem. Kelvin Sampson would have opposing coaches breathing through a straw if he had a roster like this
You’re just saying all systems failure. What I mean by that is that they are not being led to X and O play. Not that they couldn’t be.
There’s not one problem that could be addressed and things will work out.
Those are symptoms of the overall problem.
The first real red flags for me was that Pope was not a good recruiter at BYU. Everyone said that at a place like Kentucky he would absolutely crush it because of our budget. But then he struck out on Wilson, Lanier, Wilkerson, Dent, Yaxel, Silas D, Ament, Peterson, Brown, Lewis, Rippey, etc.He gets this season.. let's pray this is really just a couple of bad teammates dragging things down, along with injuries to start. Thats something we cant forget. Still have our PG injured, still dont have JQ, who i think was originally thought of as a guy who might have been ready to start the season, per early reports.
Get Garrison on somewhere. He needs to go raise his kid man.Rumors are a fight between 2 players before Cards game. And tonight Garisson was screaming at guys in the huddle until Pope stepped in.
Now to quote the village idiot…..Five games in and seen zero improvement on the defensive end and the offense has fallen off a cliff. No idea what has you hopeful but I’d sure love some
I, sir, am unquestionably in my emotions. I am a sad, sad man right now.Now to quote the village idiot…..
are you posting with your brain or your emotions? I think you may be in your feels. lol

He's not a good recruiter. That's a problem when you have 22 million to work with.
