"Like I said in the other thread, I don't know why The Pack hates on Coach34. He makes a lot of sense a lot more often than not."
And when i'm right, its usually means 85% of the board is wrong.
1. I raised all kinds of hell around here in 2004 and 2005 about how we needed to run the Spread. The common opinion around here was that the Spread was a fad and couldnt be run in the SEC. Many people here said Meyer would learn that lesson and struggle at Florida. We saw how that turned out. And the ultimate irony- here we are now running that "fad"
2. Stansbury- in the height of the Stansbury fellating in 2004, i said he couldnt get a team to the Sweet 16. He always finds a way to make a coaching mistake that costs in big games. He's a decent coach but a very good recruiter- nothing more. I cant wait for Sidney to get eligible and see what happens this season. It came to a head in 2006 when I said we were gonna suck, this board went into meltdown after 4 straight NCAA's. "Stansbury is the man. We have these super Freshman and Rhodes. Stansbury will have us right back in the NCAA's again."
3. Crooms- I said all along Crooms was a joke. And I was reamed for it in 2004 and 2005. All comments were met with "This is Jackie's fault" and Crooms just needs time to "get his system and players in here". As time went on, the Pack slowly figured out Crooms wasnt going to work. Hell, I was accused of being racist because I said Crooms couldnt cut it in the SEC. But myself and a couple others led the charge from the get-go.
and now basketball scheduling...and we see whats going on there too...people wanting to ban me because the AD is doing exactly what I said he should do? Wow
I may be a douchebag, but i'm the douchebag that knows what the hell he is talking about alot more than some of the MENSA members we have around here.

I have tried my damnedest to not take the bait BUT......you are also the same douchebag that said the following:
1. Pelphrey did a good job this season
2. Gillespie did a good job at UK
3. MSU had zero chance of winning the SEC tournament. And don't try that horseshit about playing Kodi. Kodi was already getting PT when you said that.
Basically you just throw out a mindnumbing amount of monkeyshit and see if any of it sticks to the wall. If it does you endlessly crow about it. If it doesn't then you ignore it and change the parameters, you annoying slut.

were necessarily against playing a neutral site game. Your theory of having to play at a school without a return game is where most people found fault. I still don't think we have to play the game that Stricklin is mentioning.
I was at a hockey game there about 10 years ago when ceiling tiles fell off during the game onto the ice. I don't understand why they havent imploded that thing.
It's not that old, right? Was it poorly constructed? I've never been inside it, but when Memphis still played there it looked decent on TV.
terrible place to watch anything, really. The upper-level is about 2 miles from the arena floor. The acoustics are terrible. They should have made two levels out of it if it had been possible - a bottom level with a decent sized arena, and a top level for convention space or a hotel or something. Having the entire thing open made it feel like you were in a giant cavern. FedExForum seats just as many people, and there isn't a bad seat in the house. It's still a pretty neat landmark for the skyline. If they ever decide to do something with it, I hope it succeeds.
It's useless as an arena because of FedEx Forums no compete clause. There's not many days out of the year that it could be used as an arena because there is always something going on at the Forum. Good riddance as an arena anyway. Terrible seats bad sight lines terrible acoustics for concerts and the upper deck was 8 miles up in the air.

but he did say Pelphrey was a top coach in the SEC and better than Stansbury before the SEC season started.
LSU was 10th in completion % (worse than us!). 2nd in INT's thrown.
Their defense was the reason they sucked (for them) last year, but don't pretend like they had good QB play, either. They were terrible at QB until your lover The Hat finally put his best QB on the field in about game 10.
