I actually thought we had a chance to win tonight and probably was naive in judging our lack of talent. It is depressing that we are that far behind the probable 5th team in the west. I really don't think we will win another game. Have we ever been 1 and 11? I don't want to be negative, but our defense is a bunch of candy as#$%. I really don't think any of them could rule a 4th grade schoolyard. Yes, I am venting. I am tired of analyzing our pathetic attempt at a football program. I almost wish we would drop down a division and focus on basketball and baseball.
Can Mullen make us better? Possibly, but possibly is something State fans talk about all the time. I am just tired of it and will perk up when, and if, we ever start winning. I had to jump through hoops feeding kids, bathing kids, putting up with the wife's nagging just to watch this game; and, BAM, we get embarrassed. So I am resolving to be a fair weather fan. I may check the score here and there, but I am done until I actually see a winner. Here's to a promising basketball season. Oh, and I realize their was not a bit of intelligent analysis in this post; I will leave that for you optimists.
