That's the biggest glaring weakness I've seen during the Croom Era. Where everybody gets the notion that "Croom's players play hard for him" is beyond me. I quit blindly believing that in 2005. He may, MAY, have them ready to play 2-3 games per year. The better players seem up a little more, like Fitz and Pegues. But it's all the nobody players that count. Maybe there will finally be some intensity from our players.
In contrast, a guy like Nutt has his guys ready to play people like La. Monroe. God forbid Croom have us ready to play our in-state rival.
But, if you listen to Gene, there's always an excuse to why we were flat. Blames the Egg Bowl on McRae, even though we were down 24-0 and thoroughly getting our *** whipped by then.
