I am no longer a Stans supporter

I'm done.

I'm not going to go on a Peaches-type rampage against Stans, but I am not going to support him either. This has happened too many times.

Robert Jackson.
The Delk twins.
Gary Ervin.
Walter Sharpe.
Ben Hansbrough.
Jamont Gordon.
Phil Turner.

All valuable members of a MSU team, all leaving because of Stans.

That's not to mention the Charles Rhodes' and Kodi Augustus' (ones that we know of) that have stuck around. Now if Sidney is a prima donna cancer, he needs to go - don't get me wrong, but this is getting old. The players above could have been difference makers. We could be in the middle of a true basketball dynasty at Mississippi State. Instead, we have several division titles and NIT bids - in the weakest division of the weakest BCS conference.

I should have known this last year. When Stans was flirting with Clemson - I found myself truly apathetic. I didn't care if he went. I thought about that. The winningest coach in school history of my favorite college sport - a coach that had brought us NCAA bids, SEC titles, etc. - and I didn't care if he jumped ship.

I hope the basketball team turns the corner and finds a way to have a successful season. I don't think they will - I see this as the beginning of the end of our little run of 20+ win seasons and competing for division titles. But if they do not have a successful season, I'll find myself in March the same as always, watching the greatest event in sports and wondering what could be if we'd just make a few right decisions.

And if Sidney is on a plane back home - he should never see Starkville again. Piece of ****.

I still stand by that argument. We returned too much to not make the tourney and lose to ****** Auburn and the likes. Simply not showing up for the first 10 minutes of the UT game AT HOME. How do you even have excuses for that?

While it's not 100% Stans fault, he definitely is part of the problem. I know he recruited them but I won't hold him totally responsible for the moronic antics of some of his players. Especially Augustus, he disgusts me. His head is so far up his *** I don't know if any coach could get anything out of him. But at the same time, their have been a host of other transfers and the only common denominator is Stans.

I hope we have a miraculous turn around and salvage this season but I doubt it happens. Something has got to give with the basketball program and cleaning house from top to bottom might be necessary.

Stans has done this same act far too many times. There are a lot of decent basketball coaches who can handle their players.

He has never had control over his players from day 1. None of them respect him. He always picks a couple of favorites and they can do no wrong (i.e. Jamont, Kodi, etc.). Just look at the transfers out and I think that tells the story more than anything that. He has put him self in this situation and deserves everything that has happened thus far. Maybe if he would get his head out of Meo's *** he could see what the hell is happening.

..all you people suddenly abandoning Stansbury will try to sneak back into the mix if this team begins 5-0 in conference play.

We'll still have dumb asses rationalizing the results as a successful season...

LOL. If not disregard the post. Otherwise, your basketball acumen is a bit lacking as on the 'special needs' level.

....the SEC season is meaningless at this point. After we lose today, there won't be an at-large bid available.
