The **** he pulled today is uncalled for.

He has made numerous stupid decisions this year with ourr pitching staff.

in D-I. Maine was an average or below average D-I-AA team.

Ever since that series, it has been uphill for this team. I know this is criticism in hindsight of the fact, but we should have made sure that whoever we scheduled for that weekend was very beatable. Even though they are a good team, I think getting swept by them has really hurt our psyche. If we play someone fairly easy- say Tennessee-Martin- and we sweep them, all of a sudden we start out the season 11-0 and we would be 23-16 at this point in time instead of 20-19.

At the same time, if we somehow manage to put together a winning season, we probably get in because of the difficulty of our schedule.

I think that whole SELU series really hurt the teams attitude, and I think it definately has hurt the fans attitude towards the team.

Next year, we MUST make sure that we have a schedule that we can manage especially with so many freshmen.

and get a Regional, he needs to be gone. At Mississippi State, it should never take more than 3 years to rebuild the baseball program. Cohen's Cunts better get it done or his *** can get the 17 gone! What happened today is simply inexcusable.

Getting swept by a ranked team is the same thing as losing to an average 1-AA team in football? Really?

I hope the guys that Cohen is bringing in next year can hit, because his recruits have shown they arent very good hitters this year. Vickerson is the only decent hitter that Cohen has recruited. Ogden, Frost, Sheppard, Johnson, and Thigpen cant hit worth a ****. The only decent hitter we have coming back next year is Cody Freeman.

One of Cohen's top recruits, Corey Dickerson from Meridian CC already has 17 bombs this season in JUCO and will never make it to campus in Starkville. I hope the HS guys we sign can come in and contribute. If they arent able to we could possibly be right where we are this year a .500 team fighting for the last spot in the SEC tourney.

or really blaming anybody. Heck, I didn't think SELU was as good as they were at the beginning of the year either. I'm just telling it the way it is. We still should have beaten SELU at least once.

When you're rebuilding you have to put yourself in a position to succeed. Playing a bunch of top 25 teams non-conference is not the best way to do it. It's no different than our football schedule this past year. Right now, our baseball SOS was #3 in the country, and we just don't have the team that can handle it.

you people act like our "past" in baseball is right up there with USC, ASU, LSU, etc etc. It blows my mind.

his average is probably higher than Freeman's now. I would be very surprised if more than one, maybe two of the players you listed ever approach .300 besides Sheperd.</p>

Freeman's overall avg is .284, so he seems to be the quintessential midweek warrior.

I simply think Jaron took some extra time to get adjusted.

But what are Cohen's other guys' averages in SEC play. Im sure Frost is .089 and Ogden, and the other "COHEN" guys arent much better.

Johnson .333 (he has only had three at bats)
Vickerson is .318 with an obp of .387
Thigpen is .270 with an obp of .378
Frost is .152 with an obp of .317
Ogden is .083 with an obp of .191.
Based on this, Thigpen should probably start almost all of the remaining sec games. He probably had a slow startsimply because he was adjusting to facing better pitchers, and should be decent next year.Somebody has to beat out Ogden next year at shortstop. Vickerson has four home runs, Thigpen has three, and Ogden has one.

be successful at msu or not but replacing good assistants is key. i know bianco has been criticized (rightly or wrongly) for his hires for assistants at various times. since mcdonnell left many think our assistants are weak.
