Its going to be Graham. Veazey has not called him, but does bring his name up. The jet tracking group has an unknown jet flying from Tulsa to Vegas.

Book it, I am always right...as long as it has nothing to do with sports, or women, or money.

Thanks

He has turned their program completely around and they are the smallest school in Division 1A.</p>

I'd be excited about graham and gus, but don't want Tulsa's DC. I would think either of UCONN defensive coaches could be had, and would round out an outstanding trio.

to major Division I head coach in 3 years? I don't believe that.

Also, Graham is the defensive coach. He leaves the offense alone. That is cause for concern.

for someone when the guy that is running their high powered offense is sitting right there. If he's competent enough to be their OC for 2 years why couldn't he be their head coach. I doubt they care where he was 3 years ago, and I think that's a risk they are willing to take.

I imagine we could come real close to their HC pay for an OC. If Gus is really interested in a head coaching gig, he could come here for the same pay and show off his skills and make a sub 100 offense into a top 60 or so offense. At that point he would be much more likely to land a good HC job.

on the Golden Hurricanes this season, so, yes, that's cause for concern.

The way he screwed Rice is also troubling. Not that he left them after a year, but that he left a few days after signing a new contract. He had been in negotiations with Tulsa the whole time and never intended to come back to Rice. I know coaches are "habitual liars" but, still, he took it to a new level.

How ironic would it be that you deleted my post last year when I mentioned his name for the Ole Miss job bc you thought I was trying to be funny?

... becoming unhinged is supposed to be one of Graham's biggest assets (plus Graham cuts his own hair, for what it's worth).

I don't know if MSU is ready for a bull-in-the-China-shop type.

Even if he wins @MSU, Graham will be cutting capers right & left.

when Graham was at Rice, he had Major Applewhite as his OC, so if Mahlzahn doesn't come with him, there's a good chance that he will hire someone good.

I'm not jumping up and down about this right now, but at least there's that. It'd be a definite 180 of our offensive philosophy.

Larry Weems (MHS head coach and a key to Tyler's success) as OC? I've read that Graham's MO is to hire local coaches for recruiting purposes and his OC now is just a couple of years out of high school...

Keep in mind that before he won at Tulsa - he did something much harder.

He won at Rice - no facilities, no recruiting budget (despite the fact the school is absolutely loaded) and players recruited for a wishbone attack

With all of that against him - in one year he took Rice to a bowl for the first time in forever.

He bolted and left on bad terms after one year but it was a good year. What Baliff did this year at Rice would not have been possible without Graham.

...isn't he a little old (55?). Plus, along with Russell, what about Hamp Glover? I hear he has a lawyer for a dad and granddad. He might be Ole Miss bound, or maybe Alabama. Heck, Alabama is closer to Meridian than Ole Miss and as close as State.

sees two fine coeds at the bar who he knows are not from state (because he is BMOC). he turns to them and says "hey, where do y'all go to school?" one girl replies "yale." looking a little confused, the guy says "okay...

HEY WHERE DO Y'ALL GO TO SCHOOL?!"

and now back to my day job, which i certainly won't be quitting...
