Big 12 has 10 members.

Big 10 has 14 members.

Pac-12, the only conference that can count correctly in its title, has 12 members.

Big 12 has 6 teams in 2nd round of March Madness. That’s 60%.

Big 10 has 6 teams in 2nd round of March Madness. That’s 43%.

Pac-12 has 5 teams in 2nd round of March Madness. That’s 42%.

Based on March Madness results so far, my contention for months that the Big 12 is the toughest conference, TOP TO BOTTOM, is vindicated by a wide margin. After all, the Big 12 came within ONE POINT of being the first conference in history to go 7-0 with Texas stumbling – with 22 turnovers! – to feisty Abilene Christian.

As a reminder, I’ve always said that, NEAR THE TOP, the Big 12 and Big 10 are pretty even. Still think so. But Big 12 teams play EVERY team in the conference. Big 10 doesn't do that. Who they don't play factors in as much as who they do play.

Today will be the first matchup of a Big 12 team against a Big 10 team when Baylor plays Wisconsin at 2:40 p.m. on CBS. Baylor was easily the best team in the Big 12, at 13-1. Kansas, Texas and West Virginia were next, with SIX losses in the fierce physical Big 12 gauntlet where teams whacked each other mercilessly all season long. Wisconsin was in SIXTH place in the weaker Big 10 with a .500 record (10-10).

Today’s March Madness games involving other Big 12 teams are:

My beloved alma mater, West Virginia, vs. Syracuse, a long-ago Big East rival, at 5:15 p.m. on CBS.

Texas Tech vs. Arkansas at 6:10 p.m. on TNT.

Oklahoma State vs. Oregon at 9:40 p.m. on TBS.

Texas Tech loses to Arkansas today
Oklahoma State wins
WVU wins (of course I'm biased)

As far as the excuses of Texas only lost by point is crap. Abiline was outplayed and Texas was choke city overrated and embarrassed Big 12 champion. And I enjoyed every minute of their humiliation.

So losing by one point in regulation is better than losing in overtime? That's what you're saying. You posted that it was worse for B1G schools to lose in overtime than in regulation, as if that made them mentally weak or something. That is total bullsh!t, and you know it. No B1G team has lost in regulation, but the BIG 12 CHAMPIONS have, to a nothing program that just became Division 1 in 2013-14, and had never won an NCAA Tournament game. In case the batteries in your hearing aids are running low: THE BIG 12 CHAMPION JUST LOST TO A NOTHING PROGRAM, AND EXHIBITED INCREDIBLE MENTAL WEAKNESS IN DOING SO. No bakery in Indianapolis has as many turnovers as Texas committed last night.

YOUR HATRED OF ME IS MAKING YOU SO IRRATIONAL THAT PEOPLE ARE LAUGHING AT YOU. BIG 12 PROVED, BASED ON FIRST ROUND GAMES, THAT IS HAS THE BEST DEPTH OF ANY CONFERENCE IN THE NATION.

Big 12 has 6 teams in 2nd round of March Madness. That’s 60%.
Big 10 has 6 teams in 2nd round of March Madness. That’s 43%.
Pac-12 has 5 teams in 2nd round of March Madness. That’s 42%.

ONLY AN IRRATIONAL PERSON SEES THAT AS THE BIG 10 HAVING MORE TALENT DEPTH THAN THE BIG 12.

YOUR FAMILY HAS MY SYMPATHY FOR HAVING TO PUT UP WITH YOU.

The conference with the best depth is the Big 10, as proven by its NINE teams making the NCAA Tournament field. The Big 12's NINTH place team was 9-20 Kansas State, which suffered that unforgettable and embarrassing loss to Fort Hays State, a Division II program. Although the B1G is clearly deeper, it remains to be seen which of the conferences is the best, as the most important games are left to be played.

Big 10 "clearly deeper"? You are miopic.

Big 12 IS the conference that is CLEARLY DEEPER!

Keep letting your anger at me cloud your rationality. Must be the Big 10 Kool-Aid! I will pray for your salvation if Illinois loses to Chicago Loyola. Illini IS behind by 9 at halftime. Did you notice?

NINE is STILL more than SEVEN, CFE. The B1G is deeper, sorry. Yes, the B1G has more teams, but also has more quality teams. This means more depth. Oh, and the bottom two teams in the B1G weren't laughing stocks that lost to a Division II school or went 2-22. Did I mention that NINE is more than SEVEN?

And SIX is more than FIVE! Illinois and Ohio State are packing their bags. West Virginia, Baylor, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma and Kansas still luxuriating in their hotel floors.

You must have grinded your teeth to shreds by now, huh?

What will be your excuse if the Big 12 has HALF of the Elite Eight field?

Playing the Big 12 schedule, TWICE against every team, not dodging some teams the way Big 10 teams do, is like hardening steel in a fiery furnace. It makes March Madness by comparison seem like a carnival ride. Wheee!!!!

Eat your heart out!

But destroyed Morehead by 33 points. Run along now, Piccolo Pete, as this is a sports board, not a drum & bugle corps chat room.

How is Wisconsin doing? Illinois?

The suckeyes lost to Oral Roberts....LMAO

Wisconsin just got embarrassed by the regular season Big 12 Champions Baylor. You know they wouldn't pull a Texas.

Illinois. I thought they were suppose to be the toast of the tourney. Laughable.

Because COVID eliminated the 2nd schedule game. Is this fake news? 5 of 9 Big 10 teams going home. 6 of 7 Big 12 teams still alive. Uninformed see that WVU and Oklahoma State lost SIX games in the Big 12 and think that's because they aren't that good. No, it's because every game against Baylor is automatic loss, except once. After the Big 12 schedule March Madness is a lark in the park for Big 12 teams. Stop forcing me to make you look like an idiot!

KingCoal provides with great entertainment. He doesn't realize how people are laughing uproariously at him because he's been ripped to shreds by an 88-year-old with two decades of paid sportswriting experience and a 140+ IQ who also is defending champion with Paula's brother in the Cuyahoga Falls Brookledge league! KingCoal, go to Cancun with Ted Cruz and learn how to enjoy life! I see silver linings. You insist on dark clouds that aren't there. Next up: West Virginia destroying Syracuse! KingCoal go hide your eyes. Otherwise you'll go even more bonkers!

So, ONE loss by ONE points counts more than SIX victories by SEVENTY FIVE points? I see where Big 10 advocates are deficient in math, too. 75 to 1 is EQUAL? In what universe?

You hexed my brackets goofball. I had WVU making a deep run. All you had to do is check your fanboyism at the door. Instead you hex WVU into losing to the 7th or 8th best team in the ACC. I still don’t think Cuse deserved to be in this tournament. Their name got them in. Hey goofball Pitt beat them twice and blew them out once. Thanks a lot goofball.

If you reread your post 3 times you’d realize how far off the deep end you fell this weekend. Actually kinda sad. Sir everyone is laughing at you. You didn’t rip anyone to shreds. Actually you continue to embarrass yourself. Ted Cruz is so much smarter than you it’s amazing you’d drop his name in any way. You remember when you arrogantly talked about your money and tried to embarrass other handles. I just mentioned some of the things monetarily I have going on in my life. Well here ya go again talking about how smart you are. Since I went to Pitt undergrad and Carnegie Mellon in their Masters of Public Management I’d be interested in your academic record out of curiosity.

Oh by the way just in case you were napping Syracuse beat WVU and was winning for like 39 minutes and 20 seconds.
