I hate like Hell that the Auburn HC job is open now. It damn sure is going to put added pressure on Byrne.

...if Auburn named its new coach before we did, and it wound up being someone that turned us down (Petersen, Patterson, Kelly)?

After the **** Bama pulled with Saban, Auburn is going to have to hit a home run. For Auburn Petersen and Patterson are not home runs. Leach would be a home run...Butch Davis would be a home run.

I don't agree with that. I agree with you that Leach would be a homerun for them, but I also think Petersen or Patterson would too.

Tubbs gets 6 million, Auburn gets a great coach like Leach and we still get some like Whittingham, Petersen or Graham. I would say that everybody wins there. Come on ppl have faith.

ideal spot: possibly two schools after him. He's got some leverage and bargaining power if true. Let me put it to you guys in a way that I'll know you'll understand. It's kinda like when you have two girls, or more, after you at the same time. You can't loose.

UNC has decided they're tired of being just a basketball school and have invested a lot of money in football facilities improvements and coaches' salaries. They're on the verge of being a legitimate BCS bowl contender every year. Why leave that to go play second fiddle to Nick Saban?</p>

if Auburn hires him.

I mean, fans were pissed with the spread not just because it wasn't winning games but because that isn't "Auburn" football.

Go hire Leach, I'm sure he'll bring back "Auburn" football.
