He only has one year left on his contract, good luck recootin, the rest of the league will kill him with that one. He will have to can all or most of his staff to stay around, good luck getting anyone that is not desperate to hang on to take a gig like that. We will be a bad team next year, ticket sales suffer andattendence will suffer badly.I just dont see how this makes any sense at all. Hello Auburn, move over and let us share you spot in the cellar.

We will only have two scholarships to fill and one will be Pollard when Stans returns. I can also tell you the signees from now on will have character. coursesuper said:

How is anyone with a one year contract going to get any kid with top talent tosign in Pollard's case, orto commit. And would you take you family into a situation that is more than likely a one year deal then your gone, I would not. You seem to hang you hat on Pollard coming to State, think about this. His family has no allegiance to MSU other than Stans has been after him since the 8th grade. Now Stans has a 1 year deal. Meanwhile Anthony Grant has mulit years and is in the tourny. Also the Drummondshave more coal that we have hot dogs and furniture put togeather. If the young man was so devoted to Stans then he would have signed in the fall.

I guess the same guy that would allow Bailey, an apparent known problem within the program who had apparent attitude issues, to be a team captain.

He will sign Pollard and pray Moultrie comes back or Zedikas is really good. Nobody wanted to pony up the buyout and C34 and myself do not have $2.5 million lying around. Stans will not get an extension and he will literally be coaching for his job next year. I still don't see how we make the NCAA next year with this lineup

Gray, Steele, Hood, Pollard, Zedikas.....
Bench .. Thomas, Sword, Ware, Lewis..

We will not have a legit inside offensive talent, Live and Die by the 3 ball is back...

Enjoy..

Err Dawgbreeze,<div>
</div><div>I love your optimism, but that dog don't hunt.</div><div>
</div><div>During Stansbury's tenure we have always had players (key reserves or starters) labeled as "cancers" or players with "character issues"</div><div>
</div><div>So either:</div><div>
</div><div>a)If Stansbury is a good guy, he has a blind spot with talented players who have character issue.</div><div>b)If Stansbury is not a good guy, then he has a penchant for throwing people under the bus for "character issue"</div><div>
</div><div>I honestly believe it's option a, but in either case we will continue to have "Character issues", it's the nature of a Stansbury team.

Unless Rick sees the writing on the wall, and because he loves the school decides to negotiate his buy down, or over a very extended period of time, I see somewhere between 1.3 to 3.0 million dollars of "value" by letting coach Stansbury play out his remaining contract.<div>
