A) MSU loses (damn!)...And the collective attitude is to piss and moan regardless of the effort of the team/coaching staff. Because in all reality, the other tam just CAN'T be better than us on any given day.
As a result, it seems that the solution is someone "needs to benched" or "must be fired NOW" or "we'll never be a Top 20 team....."
OR
B) MSU wins (yes!).....BUT....winning in itself isn't good enough. So statistics are spun in a fashion to "devalue" the win.
Example: "Yeah, I know we won by 14, but we should have closed it out in first 10 minutes. We __[fill-in-the-blank]__ (i.e. "outrebounded", "poor FT shooting", "played too much zone defense", etc. etc.) and if we keep playing like this, we'll never be a Top 20 team...."
Is this attitude that must be necessary to achieve what is referred to as "Excellence in Athletics?" Just curious....
[FYI...sarcasm mode *OFF*]
