I have to admit I've been fascinated by their fanbase's reaction to everything following the scandal. Now losing O'Brien is opening those wounds up again, plus I'm thinking that they are experiencing a struggle internally regarding who they really are. I'm sure that having one coach for 50 years and then losing one within two years of hiring him is a tough pill to swallow. I would almost liken the infighting to the days pre-Sixpack, when there was basically only the Lake. It's almost as if their entire fanbase were a bunch of sunshine pumpers pre-scandal, and now, while the older alums continue to want the days of Paterno and "family"; the younger folks appear to continue to point all of the bad out saying that's what got them into this situation.
