Screw that 17er. He knew about it. It may be sour grapes on my part but he and his dad screwed State, Auburn (of their own doing), Arkansas (the rightful SECW champs) and every team they screwed out of a win.

did Cam get to make his own decision? No way. His mistake was letting his dad not letting him make his own decision.

no way he didn't know about it. And what about the lap top decision and cheating at Florida? Did his father tell him to do that too? 17 him.

hope you didn't root for any State player that committed a crime.

Don't get me a wrong - I wish he was here. I also say screw Auburn. I don't like Cecil Newton. Just watching Newton is amazing.

Especially since his dad publicly made his college choice for him.

But damn. Slive invented a loophole for him. It doesn't matter what he knew - someone in his camp was seeking money, and that someone wasn't a third cousin, it was the guy who made his college choice for him. Hello? I'm more pissed at Slive for trying to rationalize that with more than "we don't know all the facts" than I am at Cam or even Bishop Cecil for trying to get it. They just 17ed up all of college sports for the sake of two games of income.

watching this without Mississippi State emotion - he is awesome. And I still stand by my opinion that his dad is behind all of this. Cam was just listening to his dad and his dad is a POS for not letting his son make his own decision.

That this is the dumbest thing you have ever posted. I cannot believe I just read that. That piece of **** thug absolutely knew what he was doing. He 17d us over, and even worse, the SEC has completely swept all this under the rug for a shot at a 5th straight title, and in the process has screwed all 11 other member institutions and completely disregarded what is right (us turning their sorry *** in) for a few extra bucks. Is his dad just as bad or worse? Absolutely. But I loathe Cam Newton and I hope he breaks his leg on the first snap of the BCSCG and Oregon beats them by 60.

Back to my cave. Enjoy the 17ing Music City Bowl (at least 3 slots below where we deserve) while you watch the awesome Newton.

In his mind, daddy can do no wrong. In his mind, nothing is wrong.

I admire his ability. I pity his naivety.

I just hope the old saying "what goes around, comes around" plays out this time...

His Dad tarnished him? Cam was knee deep in it all.To believe anything different than that.........You must be Cam himself ,Coach Chizik , or Rick and Bubba.

If so, why? Like whomever you want, but I don't understand the people who grew up a _______ fan and love it, but then don't do whatever they can to go to that university.

I would say maybe 10% of the people I knew in college did not cheat. I say the other 90 % cheated a good bit.

I know I passed Econ II by standing by the door right before final exams and looking for the smartest looking person in the class. I had only gone to 5 Econ II classes the entire semester and needed a 95 or above to pass. Sat by a brainy looking gal and made 103. Not proud of it today but I am also not going to call out someone else for doing what I did.

Dad - take care of it. Which is ridiculous as a 20 year old that he let his "daddy" choose his life for him. So that's what Cam is guilty of to me. As a 20 year old, letting his dad handle everything.

I guess things have changed over the years. Did some cheat in my day? Sure. But not 90% as you suggest.

Is the espn radio announcers keep talking about how he played and handled the situation with the allegations out there. Hello dumb 17's cecil admitted to shoping his son to state. It's no longer a allegation, It's a violation.

In your original post , You seem to give cam a free pass and put all the blame on his Dad. CAm knew GD well what was going on and it was a hell of a lot more than him just 'letting his daddy choose his life for him". Common sense tells you that CamWANTEDhis Daddy "choosing" his life for him. Cam's dad was doing just what Cam wanted him to do. Acting like Cam is a victim of his dad is horseshit.

This was a family deal. Cam , his Dad and Rogers ALL knew what this was about. Don't try to paint Cam in the light of a poor victim of his father and expect anyone withan IQ over 30 to believe that Camwasn't involved in this 100%.

I fell in love with Starkville and Mississippi State and I stayed here to go to school. It would have been hard for parents to send me to Auburn because out of state tuition. Either way I rout for MSU in every way but I also still love AU football and I am going to watch them play for a national title, but I will also be cheering my *** off in Jordan Hare next September wearing Maroon.

No you don't. Cecil, Cam, and Slive cheated us out of a possible Sugar Bowl and now we are relegated to picking up garbage bowl scraps.

It was my soph year and I didn't not attend many classes and ended up with damn near a 1.0 GPA for the semester. It was a wake up call and I went form a 1.0 to the President's List every semester after.

I did not find it hard but did not ever open a book for the class. Why the hell am I defending myself, never mind, yeah, I had trouble with the class. Think whatever you want.

We've just watched a season of the best college football player of all time. And before everyone starts bashing me, no one could stop him. He could only be slowed down, and few could do that. He truly was a beast of a man among midget boys. He seriously is great, and he's had several games where he looked like Michael Vick vs. the Redskins.
