Just about every bammer I talk to is confident they will beat us by 3 tds or more. I have lived among them long enough to experience bammer arrogance with the exception of a few year stretch when they were down. But it seems a little ramped up this time. Even more than 2 years ago. That along with the line movement. I just don't get it. What am I missing?

From what I have heard they feel our secondary is garbage and Cooper will have a career day, Dak will force some throws and we will turn the ball over and that we are Mississippi State and will fold to the pressure of the moment.

It's all based on history and experience. They have been in this situation many times over. They are at home, where at minimum 2 undefeated MSU teams came to die.
I am not ready to make a final prediction, but I do believe we have the better overall team this time around. And we have a QB, which we did not have in 1999, when arguably we had the better overall team than them as well. In 2012 they were just better than us, and that beat down is fresh on their minds.

I hope they have been telling our 2ndary how much bama thinks you suck. I have seen calhoun play when he is pissed. If he can shut down moncreif (2013 Egg), then he can manage cooper.

the effort that Russell gave us, but we just did not have a QB in 2012 to run Dan's offense. For the first time since Dan's been here, we have a talented QB that fits his system. It's not a coincidence that we are where we are, this year.

I don't think Sims can complete the long pass. They get most of thier yards after the catch. Cooper is a great runner and gets 5 to 10 yards after the catch. One thing I like about our secondary is their ability to make open field tackles. I don't think cooper has the same game saturday that he has been having. Sims can't throw down field very well and our secondary will take the yards after catch away.
Agreed, and let's also not forget that last year's team that lost 20-7 was led by a combination of a completely banged up Tyler Russell and a true freshman version of Damian Williams. Not to mention Perkins at RB

I've been thinking the same thing. I haven't studied a lot of tape or anything, but I've watched most of their games this year. I just don't really remember them winging it down the field much. Most of it seems to have been like the first play against Tenn and Cooper's TD vs LSU. Short passes with lots of YAC.
Most of his long plays that I see (in highlights) look like busted coverages

I've been able to take Finebaum this year b/c Bama has been a little down. I actually started to like the little guy, but the smug attitude this week reminds me why he's an ***. He started off the year disrespecting Dak as a potential Heisman candidate, then gave us absolutely no shot at LSU (history and all that), then gave us an outside shot at Auburn. Now that Bama beat up a mediocre LSU team in OT, they are unstoppable. I think we win, but I hope we stomp them not let up like we did against LSU, A&M, and Auburn.
You gotta remember he's a Bama fan at heart. He covers it pretty well most times, but every now and then he'll let out a "we" or "us" when he's talking about Bama. Also he tends to cut the Auburn fans short a lot. I usually try to avoid his show, but times like these when all I can think about is football, he's the only option some days.
