would keep me in the loop but this is the 3rd post in 24 hours in which I've had no clue what someone is talking about.

well thought out and well worded posts fly off the first page with no replies never to be seen again. But let an incoherant rant get posted and BINGO! 5 replies.

I have heard that one of the main reason's Stansbury was considering leaving for Clemson was so that he could get away from LT. Said that Stansbury has told them that LT is still a thorn in his side at the SEC offices. Could be a reason for the stiff fine.

Wait a month for folks to forget about what Rick was bitching about, then fine him. Very smart move by the SEC. Had they done this the day following his criticism, the media would have fully jumped aboard the "17 the SEC bandwagon" we were all riding that week. This way, they get their message across to the coach and other SEC coaches and don't have to worry about the masses taking up for Rick. +1 SEC.

Stans stepped up his game when he said something like "I've learned at Mississippi State you're supposed to shut up and take it". He went beyond criticizing the officials and slammed the SEC office - which needed to be done.

Frankly, the SEC's delay in this action is cowardly and that pisses me off even more. The SEC knew if they took immediate action like they've always done, then they'd bring more attention to the audacity of handing UK the W in the SEC Championship game, not to mention robbing us of a NCAA appearance.

Has the SEC ever waited this long to hand out a fine? It's not like they had to do an investigation. Stans said this at press conference with cameras and audio recorders present. They had all the evidence they needed to fine him right away, but they waited a month in order to squash any attention this would have gotten during the NCAA Tournament. The SEC, just like the NCAA, never ceases to amaze me at the lengths they will go to protect their cash cows.
