What surprised me is that she was quoted in ESPN who quoted her in an SI article saying that its never been a big deal for her, she has been out for a while now, and its been known.

I had never heard anyone say that she was openly gay.

Not surprised that she is, just that it was apparently known and I hadnt heard.

The article was her and the following two draft picks all talking about why it isnt a big deal in women's sports to be out, but its a big deal in men's sports. I suppose the fact that she was out and nobody knew only further shows how it really isnt a big deal in women's sports.
