I am at the point that I would not have a problem with it if Byrne decided to go in another direction.

And I sure as Hell wouldnt have a problem with Byrne telling him at the end of the year to either find new assistants or they can all hit the road

unless we already have the class of 2011 signed on the dotted line. i doubt they sign early, though. if stans is gone at the end of this year, the new guy could maybe generate some excitement and have at least a little time to build "relationships" with that class.

i was a stans apologist until the last 2 games. our offensive ineptitude has never been more apparent, and the players seem to have regressed in many areas. at this point, i really feel like he has done all he will do at msu, unless he somehow figures out how to create an offensive gameplan.

part of that consideration is the assumption that this team will be no better next year, andwill likelybe worse, without our all-american center. putting him on the hot seat this year to potentially fire him after next season seems like only delaying the inevitable.

/it is amazing how quickly stans has gone from the fans' favorite coach to (seemingly) the fans' least favorite coach.
