Crazy. How did Jackson State beat this team?

My confidence level is low. They are clowning us and likely will tomorrow as well. ULL is just flat out good. Ther fans area little nuts though.

How did they build this team ? I don`t mean to be condescending but this ain`t what you expect from a ULL. Is there ever cheating at baseball recruiting...what`s the deal ?

There is a ton of talent in louisiana. With roster caps more is available to them. Plus they went to supers in 99 and 2000. Going to cws in 2000.

These teams generally have good players. Every now and then they get a set of special players. But you never would have predicted it from recruiting. Similar to USM.

ULL was 23-30 two years ago and they were a weak two seed last year. They seem to have a ton of older guys that have played together for a long time.

This is the best offense I've seen in college baseball with the new bats. I have no clue how they lost to Jackson State.

They are a better all-around team than us, but Lingo can level the playing field big time. We will need him on his game tomorrow, plus as many runs as possible.

I've heard all season that our team is built for Omaha. If that's the case then ULL is built to make it to Omaha.

We've played all year is..

No doubt they played really good last night. But I'm not ready to say they are the best team we've played. They do hit the ball well but Ross couldn't keep his pitches down to save his life.

I think we got enough to give them a game tonight. We got laster, Lindgren and probably can go with Fitts some if needed, Bracewell and holder. We hit them pretty good last night and I expect that again tonight.

They are certainly one of the best hitting teams in the country. But as you said, we have Lingrem tomorrow. A good pitcher can neutralize a good hitting team.

People shouldn't throw in the towel. We have a good chance.

Laster is the key. He's gotta keep us in the game a few innings until lindgren comes in. I think laster and our whole team come thru tonight.

They were great last night, but I'd rather face them than some of the sec aces. Weren't they 9 out of 10 with RISP to start the game? The SF giants would've had a hard time matching that. If they match that tonight, then hats off, but I expect some regression to the mean

Right. Everything they hit in the air, was finding the gap. Yes they were hitting it well. Really well, but they were fortunate in finding grass about every single time. Cohen won't waste much time taking Laster out. 2 or more runs down and he's out.

I agree with this. We need laster to get at least 2 innings. I feel Lindgren will shut these guys down tonight.

Well they have already tipped their hand with their gameplan to attack lindgren. They said they are going after his fastball to try to take it away from him. If he has an outing similar to his last one, Joey Votto would have had a hard time hitting him.

If they say they're going after fastballs, I'd give em a healthy dose of high fastballs. Lindgren's fastball is a plus pitch too.

Also this could really benefit lindgren if he can throw slider for strikes early in count. Get ahead with slider and climb ladder with the fastball

Catching will be critical when we go to Lindgren. I have noticed on many occasions that Collins has trouble corralling that strike 3 from Lindgren. We cannot give this team any extra outs.
