This is a guy that basically covers one thing and has to work maybe what ten days out of the year? The Senior Bowl, NFL combine, and the NFL Draft? I think he has a high school diploma and basically got his start putting out a draft magazine out of his basement. Now he is a fixture on ESPN and probably gets paid pretty well. Oh, and his job is basically to watch football. How awesome must it be to tell your girlfriend or wife to leave you alone on Sat. because you are at work and she can't say jack about it? He found a niche before it was a niche and capitolized on it big time.

Here's to you Mel Kiper, Jr.

He seems to get so locked in on some people like Clausen and almost wants to talk everyone else into why they are good. Its almost as though he has a bet laid on how high he could "talk up" a player and how high he could get them drafted.

And judging by his attitude and picks, he'd probably be a bad one if he had ever obtained it.

I envy the job he has, but i dont envy him. Man that guy rubs off like a douche.

I would love to be so wrong so often and not only keep my job, but actually gain in attention and popularity. Even weathermen arent wrong as often as him.

I havent watched more than 40 second of him in the last few years...just brutal to watch him argue 2 months before the draft while standing in front of that board.

...the great thing is that once people realize they're wrong, they're not the story anymore.
