Quite the opposite, actually. They play games with partial scholarships like almost all private schools do. They can reach into endowment funds and give a guy basically a full ride, but only a small portion comes out of the scholarships allocated for baseball. Almost all private colleges do it. Think about the Rices, Stanfords, Miamis, and Vandys of the world, and how mich success they have in baseball.
No one fights baseball scholarship expansion more than private schools like Vandy.
