we can take down SC in Starkville. Still going to be tough to beat GA in Athens. I do think we have a good chance to get to the Alabama game at no worse than 6-3.

We'll finish basically about like we did last year.

are going to tell the tale of our season- assuming we take care of business non-conference and against UK and Ole Miss.

Win those two, and we get eight, split we get seven, and zero and two and we're back in Memphis.

Very similar to last year where Georgia and Florida kind of determined what happened to us.

Arkansas in Little Rock is unbeatable. I don't know why they just don't play all of their home games there. If we beat them there, I would be very impressed.

We're playing La Tech at the right time though- we need to regroup and win, get our record back to .500 and then go forward.

Well it might suck....we go something like 7-5, end up at the Liberty Bowl, Music City Bowl, or the Compass Bowl and we play some middle of the pack ACC, or CUSA team and beat the absolute crap outta them. I think we're a good team and the SEC West is full of great teams. Unless we get back to the gator bowl we won't play a very good team, but that slot could be filled with another crappy Big 10 team like Michigan State.<div id="isChromeWebToolbarDiv" style="display:none"></div><div>
</div><div>Our best case scenario as I see it is the Chick-Fil-A bowl or Gator again. If we were in the Big East we might be going to a BCS game this year. You don't need the defenses you need to win the Big East like you do in the SEC.</div>

I think we can realistically still make it to the Gator Bowl. I think we'll beat South Carolina at home and Georgia is a toss up. Georgia hasn't looked impressive and not much (if at all) better offensively than LSU. Georgia's defense is not nearly as good as LSU's so I like our chances.

South Carolina's defense looks like the same defense that got carved up by any competent offense last year. Ballard, Relf, and Perkins should have big gains against that defense. I know Navy's triple option will give anyone problems but South Carolina could not stop the run. SCAR's offense will be the same as last years. If Garcia shows up, it's gonna be a long night. At home though, I'm penciling this one as a win.

By the time we play Alabama in Starkville, he should be healed up enough to make it a good game. Probably a loss. Arkansas here I'd give us a 50-75% chance of beating them, AT Arkansas though, 25%.

8-4 with another Gator Bowl invite. I'd love to be 10-2 but realistically, just making it back to a bowl is a step in the right direction. Recruiting will improve once recruits look at Mississippi State and see that it is consistently a top 25 program. Once the talent gap closes a little more, we'll have good chances to beat teams like LSU and Bama.

7 game win streak? I doubt it. I had the same thought but it was summarily dismissed as wishful thinking/day dreaming a la the Sherrill/Croom era. I HOPE we win 7 in a row. But there is like a 2% chance.

Also Georgia is getting their **** together. That will be a tough road game.
