Look, it isn't going to be a proven OC. They would have already been hired by now. Behind closed doors, I bet Shane is getting turned down left and right. I am also sure Dowell wasn't his first choice when he was hired. He probably tried to hire a legitimate OC and couldn't get anyone to take the job.
Clayton White has been a good hire but he was the DC at Western Kentucky before he was hired.
Shane has never hired a coordinator that had a solid background at a Power 5 or decent sized program.
So any guesses on who will be the next OC at SC that will be a guy who has never been an OC before? Or, if he has been an OC, it will be from a very small school. Any guesses based on people Beamer has a relationship with etc?
Yall can keep talking about Briles, Beck, John David Baker or whoever.... But none of those are happening.
So who will it end up being? Let's talk about some people that may actually end up with the job.
