.....the first was a full-body hug from SPS user Brianthedawg that must have lasted 30 seconds, right before the final knee.

The second was one from Megan Mullen. When she and Dan were walking out, Dan was talking to some people and getting pictures, and I tapped her on the arm and said congratulations. She came and gave me a hug and said "Thank you for letting us come to Mississippi State. This is awesome." I said "No, thank YOU for coming to Mississippi State." Nice lady, I really believe the stories now about how happy she is in Starkville.

Great day...among other events:

1. Had lunch at Satchel's Pizza.....the place Todd Blackledge used for Taste Of The Town last week. Best pizza in the SEC. I will never come to Florida again and not eat at Satchel's.

2. The UF bookstore was selling these white shirts with orange and blue Albert the Gator, saying "Beat Mississippi State". I want one of these shirts.

3. Got my cowbell taken at the end of the game by a security guard. It wasn't my good cowbell, it was the one whose clapper gets stuck. Handed it to him happily. Went down to him a couple minutes later and he gave it back and took a picture with me.

4. Chest-bumped Joseph Iupe after the game. The awesomeness of this need not be stated.

5. The Florida team leaves out the same entrance as the visiting team. Most of them ride out on these little scooters, so they all left to gator chomps, cowbells, and cheers from a HUGE throng of MSU supporters.

6. We also got to take care of Urban Meyer as he left. Pretty sweet.

7. 123 games in a row now.....this was the best one yet. The 600 miles back will feel like 60, I'm quite sure.

The JV cowbell. Fits in the pants easier. Might ring in a minor key. AKA the work desk cowbell (as opposed to the heirloom/mantle cowbell). Good luck explaining the difference to the casual observer.

He sounded about as excited and proud as you could possibly sound. Cant say that I blame him. I would have killed to have been in that stadium tonight

I witnessed said hug and then had a hug forced upon me by Brian the Dawg....who then proceeded to almostknock mypreg-o wife over. (What can I say, the dude was just living in the moment, no harm, no foul)

It was good to meet both you and Brian, enjoyed talking toboth of you.

Wasn't it nice seeing thosejackass UF fans tuck tail and run. This will make my next few months at work much, much easier. There will not be any smart *** "Sooo, how was you game this weekend" when I get to work on Monday....on second thought maybe there will be

Said they were gator chomping at cars leaving from that area and noticed Meyer in one of them. God help me I love Mississippi State University.

This sounds so funny in print. I hope it looked as goofy in person as it does in my mind. Please tell me you got pics of this.

because he rides a scooter all over campus. I hear a bunch of the players ride them. I guess schools are now giving players scooters to ride around campus on, so it isn't obvious that they actually got an Escalade parked back at the dorms for date night.

I just honestly did not know how to act at that point in time. That win was right up there with the '98 Arkansas and '99 Egg Bowl games for me. I seriously don't think I've stopped smiling yet. What a game. What a night. I must say though, it was truly a pleasure meeting you and megadawgmaniac last night. Your streak of 123 games in a row is so very impressive - hope the kid comes on our bye week, so you can keep it going. Sorry once again for the man hug. It won't happen again.

Surprisingly all the Gator fans we ran across were very nice to us. We got the gator chomps and some smack talk but that was minimal for the number of people we ran across. The trip was by far one of the best times as a state fan for me. Soaked up all of the glory in the stands and afterward. Great seeing the team come out of the lockers with big smiles and all of our fans sticking around cheering them all on. And scooters are everywhere in Gainesville. Best sight was seeing three beautiful women piled on one scooter riding by on campus
