I guess I am living in the past regarding baseball rules!

I thought if we had fininshed six innings, then a game would be considered complete and in turn, not have to finish it.

Perhaps these are Little League rules and I just need to go back to sleep!

It CAN be called but we have the opportunity to finish the game, so we are going to finish it. If we were running into time limit issues, they could call the game.

Have you forgotten the super regional?

As far as your question, I guess, I, along with everyone else I asked that to, must not know remember.

I'm pretty sure NCAA rules allow for a game to be called after 7? The SEC has a rule that games have to be played for 9 innings.

Again, pretty sure. Someone else can call me on that.

As far as the super regional, that's another story. No way they call an elimination playoff game.

I'm pretty sure the SEC's rule is that, for conference series, the second (or third) game of the series can not be started until the prior game is completed (9 innings). There is at least one exception for this with TV--we've seen early TV games be played in full, followed by completion of a previously suspended game. But, while there is still time left in the weekend series, the SEC will not allow a game to be called prior to 9 innings.

Sounds about right. I knew the SEC had rules on top of the NCAA regarding games being called.
