Ohio State needs to beat the **** out of them tomorrow and we need to keep it close.

RPI-wise, we are 54th, they are 59th. They have five top 50 wins to our two, however. But, they have a sub-200 loss and five sub-100 losses.

What is interesting to me is what happens if we beat Kentucky and Minnesota beats Ohio State? My guess is Utah State doesn't get in.

That being said, Utah State may not be the lock that you would think, they were 25-4 a few years ago with a top 40 RPI and got left out. They had one sub-100 loss. They have a better RPI this year, but they lost to some bad teams in Utah, Northeastern and Long Beach State. They did beat BYU. They are probably in, but may not be able to withstand a hit from both us and Minnesota winning the auto bid.

Top 50: 2-4 (State) 5-6 (Minn)
Top 100: 8-6 (State) 6-8 (Minn)
RPI: 54 (State) 59 (Minn)
SOS: 97 (State) 44 (Minn)
Loss >100: 4 (State) 4 (Minn..one to #222 Indiana)

Their Top 50 wins trumps us..Here's hoping to OSU beating the crap outta the Gophers tomorrow

Are they a candidate to get 17'ed? I don't know much about them other than they are Lunardi's recent "Last 2 in". How do we stack up against them?

Michigan blew out Minnesota by 30 a little more than a week ago. We have been in every game except for the UT game.

Too bad that Purdue win really soups up their resume because Purdue clearly isn't the same team without Robbie Hummel. </p>

RPI: 58
SOS: 132 (Non Conf SOS: 340)
Top 50: 3-4
Top 100: 8-7
1 Loss vs >100 team

NCAA could very well penalize them for playing a ****** non-conference schedule.

the selection is more subjective than we realize, and lunardi put us in for a reason - i don't think you can keep us out at this point, even based on numbers. i don't buy this last in, first out stuff...

other teams that need to be worried:

missouri
georgia tech
clemson
marquette
notre dame
minnesota
virginia tech

maybe that can qualitatively let us slide by VA Tech so the SEC can get 4 teams in. I'm struggling to see only 3 teams from the SEC getting in. But then again, the bubble shrunk to 2 teams today....who knows??
