The skin is getting thin in the 12th hour.
At this point I don't see this as a happy marriage anymore. He's had other ladies flirting and didn't exactly turn them down right away so now the spouse is extremely upset and calling him out in public
I mean I’m kind of on Kiffin side here. You can’t hide behind your podcast “keyboard” and think you are super cool and call another man a hoe and be surprised when he tells you let’s step outside.

I’ll chime in on this. I know Ben. He’s a UM homer but in his defense he isn’t afraid to say what most in his position will not. As big of a prick as he is he probably did call Lane a hoe, which is pretty much what he has been the last few weeks towards UM and the open coaching positions. I wouldn’t put it past Ben to say out loud what most are quietly thinking

Like I said earlier in this thread. Ben is a homer for sure but he has balls and isn’t afraid to say what most beat reporters keep to themselves. He totes the water when he needs to, but when you see people like him calling out a head coach like he has you know it’s getting really tense at the plantation

He didn’t call Lane a hoe. He was quoting a Ludacris song where he said “you can’t turn a hoe into a housewife” when talking about lane and his refusal to commit despite ole Miss giving him everything he’s asked for. I agree with him too. Lane is a being a hoe.
I obviously do not follow the Ole Miss Spirit rigorously, but a thing I have been told about Ben by Ole Miss people that works against him, is that he covers Ole Miss and Ole Miss recruiting but lives in New Albany and for the very most part stays there, rarely coming to campus for media availabilities.
If that is indeed the case, I can certainly understand how Lane might get perturbed that this guy that never shows up to stuff decides to show up last week and start pressing uncomfortably for answers to uncomfortable questions, and then continues to talk on his podcast making an unsavory comparison of Lane (yes I know it's a Ludicris lyric, but still).
So when it gets brought up in the press conference today, and Ben goes off, and Lane says I don't even know who you are....to me that's Lane saying okay so you say you cover us but you're never here unless you want to cause trouble so you are not worth any more of my time. Which to me playing devils advocate is pretty understandable.
TL;DR Ben's not nearly as funny or clever as he thinks he is and he got called out for it and hasn't put in the face time to be worthy of clapping back.

I'm not saying Kiffin is or is not a hoe. But with his coaching history, he needs to realize that he's kinda acted like a hoe over his coaching career.

If Lane can't take something a reporter said about him, God help him when/if he goes to Florida or LSU and loses one game. Just one. He seems like the only coach out there that can't take the heat. As I said I simply don't understand how Kiffin stays focused during a game considering how he's naturally drawn to drama.

SpiritBend and Kiffin both need the help of an experieced and compenent therapist. This one is dripping in irony as it was Garrott who wrote a self-fellating essay a few months ago about how he knew Kiffin was the perfect fit for Ole Miss long before anyone else did. I guess that might be why Ben is taking this especially hard.
