He was talking about how we snuck into the CWS. I started explaining how strong our post season competition has been. That got me thinking and I started digging. So far thru the Regionals, Super Regionals and the first game of the CWS guess who has the toughest schedule and who has the easiest (based on current RPI's). Thats correct:

MSU avg opp RPI of 18.3
UCLA = 35.2
UNC = 43.2
OSU = 44.8
IU = 54.3
UL = 56.2
NCSU = 57.8
Corndogs = 70.4

I hate a corndog.

It's even more than that. We played in a regional that really had three teams who you could argue deserved a two seed. And the national seed that we beat was a fifty win team who had only lost three games at their place all year.

We snuck in for the 2007 CWS. We kicked the ******* front door in this time.

Most of these 17'ers don't watch any games except LSU, so they have no idea who we beat Why is it that the sidewalk fans are the most annoying? I can usually determine if a guy has actually attended LSU or one of the directional schools by their level of arrogance.

they had a very easy regional and then got Oklahoma in the SR who won their regional as a 2 seed.

Wow, corndog is an idiot. I give yall props; yall played your asses off in the postseason this year and completely deserved and earned your way into the CWS.

I was talking with my room mate in the past couple of days (he's an extremely proud MSU alum) and we talked about how yall's turning point (and perhaps ours as well) was the Sunday game vs. us. Being down 6-0 and coming all the way back to win might have changed your fortunes for the best and ours for the worst. If we hold on and win, we sweep yall and perhaps host. Yall may have lost the last series vs USCe and lose the regional. However, yall beat us and caught fire.

I can't say I'm rooting for yall, but I can respect the fact that yall are there. The MSU pitching staff, especially the bullpen, is sick. I truly think you guys could be a serious threat to everyone there.

and I've had to correct him on so many MSU things.. He didn't think State had been to Omaha since the 70's. He works in Starkville and has no idea who we played in the regional. Alright guy, but such a homer..
