I think that place gets more pathetic by the day. It is sad that we have a large portion of our fan base that thinks like them. I can only hope that every school does.

It's funny how this board absolutely loves Veazey and they hate him. I think he does a great job for you. And if there is something negative happening with our teams, I'd sure rather know about it than have it hidden. That's his job.

GP is the perfect mob-mentality site. Over there you either toe the party line or you're a "webel". Those people need to hear the truth and Veazey is the only one willing to give it to them. Because the Shepherd-Swan sure isn't going to do anything but pump them with sunshine regarding all things Mstate.
These are probably the same people that tell everyone to sit down when the defense has a 3rd and short, or we just hit a big shot to close a huge gap in bball. They're probably also the same people that were happy with LT and Grumpy McWhinesalot still at the helm of the baseball team... Gladly, though, with the shake up in the administration I believe they are slowly becoming the vocal minority.

Seriously, I think Veazey does as good of a job as a beat writer as I've seen from any of the papers in this region. I really don't see the gripe. Obviously those fans are so used to having sunshine pumped to them that they get offended when they see anything not 100% positive. However, Veazey does a great job of going out and finding out information on the stories that matter to the fans. Obviously, Augustus's future at MSU has been a question for a lot of the fans, so Veazey investigates. He does that all the time. He finds out what you want to know, positive or negative. You can't ask for more from a beat writer.
Everyone on that thread is STUPID except bigtoms and topmsufan. They're probably sixpackers too, or if not they should be informed of this place for their sanity's sake.

That's the funny thing to me. The GPers have had a beef with Kyle ever since he got the job as the MSU beat guy simply because he went to Ole Miss.
I can understand being a little skeptical of that, but Veazey has more than proven himself to be separated from being a fan of either school. He simply does his job of reporting and investigating all things MSU.
